WORKPLACE SAFETY ACROSS ALL SECTORS

At Virtue Plus, we focus on workplace safety across all sectors, including healthcare and aged care. These environments face unique chemical safety challenges due to frequent use of cleaning agents, disinfectants, and laundry chemicals. Exposure to hazardous substances can lead to health risks like skin irritation, respiratory problems, or even chemical burns. Ensuring chemical safety in healthcare and aged care is critical for the well-being of staff, residents, and patients.
Virtue Plus’s innovative products are designed to minimize these risks, providing safer and more efficient chemical management in Laundry, Housekeeping, and Kitchen areas.

Enhancing Safety with Our Closed-Loop Chemical System
Our closed-loop chemical dispensing system is a cutting-edge solution that significantly reduces the risk of exposure to hazardous cleaning chemicals. The system ensures that concentrated chemicals never come into direct contact with the user, as the safety cap screws directly onto the chemical container. This design eliminates the need to remove hoses or manually handle containers of concentrated formula, minimizing the risk of spills, splashes, or accidental skin contact.
By containing the chemical transfer process within a closed system, we help prevent accidental exposure and reduce the likelihood of cross-contamination. This system is ideal for environments such as hospitals and aged care facilities, where the safety of both staff and residents is paramount.
Reducing Splash Hazards with Powdered and Solid Products
Another way we promote chemical safety is through the use of powdered and solid cleaning products. Unlike liquid concentrates, powdered and solid chemicals minimize the risk of splashing hazardous substances during handling and dispensing. This safety measure is particularly important in Laundry, Housekeeping, and Kitchen operations, where staff frequently handle various cleaning agents.
The controlled dissolving of these products during use ensures accurate dosing and reduces chemical waste, contributing to a safer and more environmentally sustainable cleaning process. This approach not only enhances safety but also streamlines operations, saving time and reducing product consumption.

• Tamper-proof system
• Ensures accurate dilutions
• Safety inserts stop cleaners pouring freely from the bottle
• Effortless changeover of solutions when refilling or changing out

• Eliminates cleaners exposure to concentrates
• Reduces wastage and cost to facilities
• Rubix: 121150

• Stop over-dosing and improves OH&S standards

Dilution rates are pre-set during installation and can’t be altered by cleaners

Easy Access to Safety Information with Our Digital SDS Library

Quick access to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) is crucial for safe chemical handling. Our digital SDS library is a comprehensive resource, providing up-to-date safety information for all products. We’ve made it even easier to access by placing QR codes in all relevant areas, such as Laundry rooms, Housekeeping closets, and Kitchens. Additionally, these QR codes are printed on all chemical drums and spray bottles, allowing staff to quickly scan and view the SDS for any product they are using.
Having this information readily available ensures that staff can quickly identify potential hazards, understand the necessary precautions, and respond effectively in the event of an emergency. This proactive approach supports a culture of safety and compliance, reinforcing the importance of chemical safety training and awareness.
Spill Containment and Emergency Response Solutions
While our products and systems are designed to minimize chemical risks, it is essential to be prepared for unexpected incidents. Our range of spill containment kits and emergency response solutions ensures that facilities are equipped to handle chemical spills safely and efficiently. These kits include absorbent pads, neutralizers, and personal protective equipment (PPE), allowing for quick and effective cleanup.
Regularly training staff on spill response procedures, including how to use the spill kits and access the SDS library, further enhances chemical safety protocols in healthcare and aged care settings.

Color-Coded Systems for Chemical Identification
To further enhance safety, our color-coded chemical dispensing systems help staff easily identify which cleaning agents are used for specific tasks. This system minimizes the risk of using the wrong product in sensitive areas like Kitchens or resident rooms, where cross-contamination could pose serious health risks.
Clearly labeled and color-coded containers, spray bottles, and dispensing units make it simple for staff to distinguish between various cleaning agents.

Automatic Dilution Control for Accurate Dosing
Accurate chemical dosing is crucial to prevent overuse or misuse of cleaning agents. Our automatic dilution control systems ensure that chemicals are dispensed in the correct proportions, minimizing waste and reducing the potential for harm.
By maintaining precise concentrations, these systems optimize cleaning efficacy while reducing the risk of chemical exposure due to overdosing.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and
Proper Training
Providing appropriate PPE and ensuring that staff know how to use it is another critical aspect of chemical safety. Depending on the tasks being performed, PPE such as gloves, goggles, and face masks may be necessary to protect against chemical exposure. We offer a wide range of PPE specifically designed to meet the needs of healthcare and aged care environments, ensuring that staff are adequately protected during cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Regular training sessions on proper chemical handling techniques, PPE use, and emergency procedures are essential to maintaining a safe work environment. Our training programs cover best practices for using our closed-loop systems, powdered products, and digital SDS resources, equipping staff with the knowledge they need to work safely and confidently.
