6.0. COMPARING METHODS OF TEACHING

Teaching is one of the main components in educational planning which is a key factor in conducting educational plans. Despite the importance of good teaching, the outcomes are far from ideal. This qualitative content analysis study was conducted through purposeful sampling. According to the results of this study, the best teaching approach is the mixed method (studentcantered together with teacher-cantered) plus educational planning and previous readiness. In the present study, it was illustrated that a good teaching method helps the students to question their preconceptions, and motivates them to learn, by putting them in a situation in which they come to see themselves as the authors of answers, as the agents of responsibility for change. But training through this method has some barriers and requirements. To have an effective teaching; the faculty members of the universities should be awarded of these barriers and requirements as a way to improve teaching quality.

The purpose of this chapter is to evaluate the traditional methods of teaching as well as multimedia teaching and to suggest other useful teaching methods that can be attempted in imparting knowledge to the students. Basically, teaching must include two major components sending and receiving information. Ultimately, a teacher tries his best to impart knowledge as the way he understood it. So, any communication methods that serve this purpose without destroying the objective could be considered as innovative methods of teaching.

6.1. INTRODUCTION

Education is vital to the pace of the social, political and economic development of any nation, so effective teaching is very essential. Effective teaching is important because teaching is based on helping children progress from one level to another in a more sociable

interactive environment and to

get the approach right to get students to be independent learners. Effectiveness does not

mean being perfect or giving a wonderful performance but bringing out the best in students.
