as a water resource in case of fire, since the site is in a remote location. All the buildings are configured in a circular manner around this reservoir, and are strung together by a colonnade, which is the circulation spine.

In order to avoid the institutional character that is often associated with large schools, the academic buildings at Pathways were kept small-scale and broken up into small learning communities allowing students a sense of belonging and identity as each becomes part of a smaller peer group within the larger school. Pathways was also designed with many places for quiet reflection, as well as with places that facilitate social interaction, such as the communal spaces where the students live. Featuring a multipurpose lakeside amphitheatre, usable green areas and shaded walkways, along with old Indian sculptures and other artefacts representative of the country’s rich history. Pathways is truly a special school and stands out as a joyous place to learn.
