Today’s Experts Mark Shoenfeld Was hired as a staff songwriter to Irwin Levine Music Publishing at 1650 Broadway during his senior year of high school in the Bronx. But Mark’s career really took off when he had the balls to knock on Ron Alexenburg’s (President of Epic Records) hone door……….unannounced and uninvited. After Ron screamed at him to “Get the F@%& out of here” Mark replied “but believe me, you’re gonna want to know me.” After that encounter Alexenburg became Mark’s employer and later his manager, executive producer, investor, partner and friend. Mark went on to write music for movies and produced and wrote songs for Polygram, EMI, Motown, and Capitol Records. He wrote and sold movies to Orion Pictures, Disney, Dreamworks, and Warner Brothers. Mark has worked with Hugh Jackman and director Stephen Herek (Mr Hollands Opus, 101 Dalmations). Mark wont on to write and compose the Broadway musical “BKLYN the Musical” in 2004. BKLYN toured America, Asia and South America. Mark manages movie producer Scott Prisand (Rock of Ages with Tom Cruise) and is Coproducer with Russell Simmons in an upcoming movie and
