FESTIVAL FEATURE As much as every Spring brings a crop of doom laden stories, in the broadsheets particularly, predicting­ the collapse of the festival market, it never actually seems to happen­and the majority­of events seem to thrive, with even a few new ones popping up here and there. The uptake of registrations­for the International Festival Forum seems to imply that agents and organisers have no doubt that the future is festivals! As to how many there are – who really knows! Certainly too many for one on-line journal to cover, but here’s a brief round up of the events we VIP people got to visit or communicate with so far this season:
