This year Violence Intervention Program, Inc. honored Ms. Cecilia Gastón as the first honoree of the Cecilia Gastón Award for extraordinary contributions to the cause of gender justice and immigrant rights. The evening began at 6:30 pm with cocktails and dinner, and culminated with an exciting award ceremony and entertainment at The Museum of the City of New York overlooking Central Park.
