Covid-19 Restrictions As most of you will know, on 22 March the Prime Minister announced a new alert system for New Zealand’s COVID-19 response and placed the country on Alert Level 2. This means that COVID-19 remains contained, but the risks are higher than at the minimum status of Alert Level 1. We are all expected to limit our movement around the country to essential travel only, those who are over 70 years of age or who have underlying health issues are asked to stay at home, and businesses are asked to implement working from home arrangements for staff where possible.
All branch and national events have been cancelled for the next 4-6 weeks. Decisions beyond then will be made closer to the time. With the government alert level being currently at Level 2 the following will apply until further notice:

Wednesday mornings- essential maintenance work only. No gatherings.
•
Friday nights - speakers cancelled, bar and club rooms will be closed.
•
Club rooms only open for members doing maintenance work—cutting grass etc (one member on site).
•
Last Thursday run (26 March) will be held only if the weather is fine as it will be BYO afternoon tea at an outside venue.

At this stage we will still proceed as planned with the Restoration Rally in May and the AGM in June however will review this as this situation evolves and advise members via email etc. I remind everyone to look after yourself and each other. Remember there is no need to panic and following advice from the Ministry of Health will help keep you and other members of our community safe and well. Branch committee will keep members advised by email with any further cancellations we make. Email is the quickest way that we will be able to update you so please provide your email addresses to Marion if you have not already done so. Members need to be guided by information coming through from the Ministry of Health and announcements from Government leaders. Look after yourselves and Wash Your Hands!
