GEN This tour has been very special in so many ways. Perhaps the most exciting and profound element was the fact that this was the first full tour with the new team, the next generation of Vinesong. Since passing the baton of leadership to Daniel, Pastor John has stepped into a role of overseeing. The Lord has an incredible way of making changes. Sometimes at the beginning of a change, it feels like we are walking on water, but the rock beneath is solid.

Throughout these past three months, there has been so much confirmation from so many people that this transition was the will of God. Many have come and said that this is what the church today is missing, transition of leadership and the ability to pass on a spiritual

inheritance within the church. Daniel has grown so well into his role of leading the team as well as teaching and preaching.

After years of discipleship with Pastor John, it is so evident that the mantle has been passed and the anointing is still strong.

As a team, we are so excited for this next season. So many have prophesied into the future of this ministry, and we are seeing the fulfillVinesongnewsletter

ment of those prophesies day after day. We are reaping things that we have not sown. If it were not for the previous teams, through the 4

leadership of Pastor John, and the faithfulness of the Lord, we would not be where we are today. Truly, we can stand with the angels and proclaim

those words from the old hymn, “He has done great things!”. Before we left England for North America, we ministered at the annual Ordained Minister’s Conference for the Redeemed Christian Church of God. They had interviewed us earlier in the year and published our story as the headline for their national magazine’s quarterly publication. You can read the story here.

In this season of the church, Daniel has felt it heavy upon his heart to encourage people to seek the will of God in all that we do. We all have indiviudal and highly personal destinies. Each one of us have gifts, many are the same, but not one of us has the same combination of gifting as another. We each have unique destiny and purpose here on earth.

The coming of Jesus is soon, and we want to have oil in our lamps when our King returns.Part of Daniel’s teaching deals with the practical side of discipline with digital devices. Many children (and many adults!) have become addicted to cellphones and tablets from an early age. Teaching with relevant stories and examples from every day life, Daniel has given brilliant illustrations that resonate with people from every walk of life.

We are in a battle for our youth, and for the future of the next generation!

Eastern Canada From British Columbia to Alberta, through Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Vinesong journeyed more than 2,500km across four Canadian provinces to minister the gospel.

There has been tremendous excitement over the past few months. The Lord moved powerfully, making his presence known with miracles and signs and wonders along the way.

This year, we travelled over 12,000 miles in 90 days by road alone in North America. After 45 ministry events, including the National Day of Prayer on Capitol Hill and a daytime concert at the United Nations headquarters, there is plenty of news to bring to you.

Upon embarking on this journey of North America, we all felt we needed to step up our intercession. As the Body of Christ moves into the last days, preparing for the coming of Jesus, our task to minister with fervency and accuracy has become urgently important.

The harvest is ripe and our sickles are sharp.

Daniel has been sharing from his heart with the church about the fulfillment of our individual and collective destinies. Part of this includes discarding the things that entangle us which prevent a deeper relationship with God. There has been a meteoric rise in time spent online and on digital devices, and this leads us into complacency with our faith. We must make a disciplined effort to spend more personal one-on-one time with the Holy Spirit as He teaches us and readies the saints to reach a dying world.

worship and pray for the nation on the west lawn of Capitol Hill at the National Day of Prayer. Pastor John has always felt a strong urge to stay faithful to this door that opened 25 years ago. In the weeks leading up to our arrival in Washington DC, we were told by Dr. Corinthia Boone, the main organizer of the

event, that the details of the permit had changed. There was to be no podium, sound system, choir singing or leading of a choir. It should be done as an assembly or as a group singing or praying.

It seemed momentum that was built up over all these years was stripped in a matter of days. She was also told that

Capitol police would be monitoring the gathering to make sure that we adhere to these new rules. Although Dr. Boone felt the wind was taken out of her sails, she was determined to carry on as usual and we did. As a group of multi cultural, multi national people, we gathered with one goal in mind: to see revival break forth in America.

As we stepped out on the west lawn, the sky filled with ominous clouds, brooding over the city. As we started to pray, a great storm fell, something that has never happened before on a National Day of Prayer. It drenched us to the bone. Despite the lighting and thunder, we continued for nearly an hour, worshipping and interceding.We all came in one accord, and we all left in one accord. Time and time again, the Lord has shown us that He is faithful. Had we incurred the cost of a sound system, it would have been a big blow to the whole day and a great financial disaster. We left knowing that, rain or shine, we came together with great love for one other and unity of vision and mission to see the name of Jesus lifted high!

Seattle, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, and a host of other cities were packed into this leg of the tour.

03 Early the next morning we left for Seattle to start our annual 3 month journey of Canada and the USA. Tim and Della Shields, our wonderful new friends in Seattle, were so faithful and diligent in keeping Shamu, our big blue van, along with Faithful, our trailer, who follows wherever Shamu goes! They stored our vehicles on their property for the last 9 months and made sure all was in running order when we arrived. They even picked us up at Seattle airport. We want to say thank you to Tim and Della for their selfless service to the Lord. May God bless you both and your family richly!

Mount Rainier is the tallest mountain in Washington and the Cascade Range. This peak is located just east of Eatonville and just southeast of Seattle and Tacoma, along our driving route this year!

Two days before leaving, Pastor John fell and despite being bruised and sore from the fall, he sustained a very deep cut in his elbow. But as we all know, when the enemy tries to discourage, it is a great sign that we are on the right track, and in this case it was true. We patched him up and left for the US.

We crossed into Canada acutely aware of our responsibility to seek the Holy Spirit despite the subtle marginalisation of Christianity. We were praying for a greater tour than 5 years ago. Our first port of call was Vancouver and we could see the provision of the Lord so clearly. We were gifted with over a week of comfortable accommodation from Diane Liang, our dear friend, who represents Vinesong in Canada.

Upon our arrival in Seattle, we were informed by our bank’s security department that several fraudulent cheques had been cashed from our bank account. Satan has no imagination, he will attack where he thinks it will hurt the worst, but God was faithful and the bank restored the stolen amount in full.

We were so blessed to experience how God turns all things to the good in our two meetings in Seattle. God used a lady named Kate Ariwodola, a dynamic worship leader, to bring churches together of different deVinesongnewsletter

The first week of a tour is always a mixed bag. Many things need to be fixed, arranged, prepared and organised for such a long tour. Especially one that would have 45 meetings and end 3000 miles away in Philadelphia. Staying in one place for the time we ministered in Vancouver helped tremendously. We want to thank Diane for her incredible

help in every way. May the Lord favour you and fulfill your every need!

Our meetings in Vancouver gave us all such encouragement as we saw the favour of the Holy Spirit when He showed up in our worship. There is such joy to hear of the refreshing and healing to people’s lives during the songs and the word. Especially when

we were able to minister to a church who had recently lost a very loved and strong intercessor and woman of God. People experienced such a sweetness in the worship as the Holy Spirit moved on each person bringing peace and comfort to them who were grieving her absence. At another gathering, we were able to sing in French to many from French speaking countries in Africa. Pastor Gaston who heads up the leadership of Citywide Christ Church has a vibrant congregation from all nations and appreciated it so when they could worship in their native language in a part of the country where English is more widely spoken. It was an honour to brush up on our French and the

The X-rays showed nothing broken but still there was a lot of pain. All we could do was trust and pray that the great Physician would work a miracle.

As we arrived in Calgary a day later, Pastor John’s arm was not getting better but despite that he continued to support the team and their ministry as we saw so many come to the front for healing and prayer. There was such a release in the Spirit and many left feeling so uplifted and washed by the pure worship they entered into.

In Airdrie, we woke and ministered the next day and through the night Pastor John’s arm that was heavily swollen had returned to normal.

Thank you Jesus! Now just the pain had to go. We know we serve an awesome God and He is in the business of full recovery and not half jobs.

That was evident in a miracle that took place as a woman tormented by a spirit of depression was freed and experienced joy that she had not felt in years! The Lord continually shows us a deep need for emotional healings in many of our meetings.

“Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

time and work paid off when we saw the joy on people’s faces! The next day, we knew we were up against something when Pastor John had to be rushed off to a clinic as he had acquired a bacterial infection in the wound in his elbow. The devil knows when you are breaking spiritual strongholds and he doesn’t sit around doing nothing. Pastor John was given antibiotics and we nursed the wound every day. But unfortunately as we embarked on the long 2 day journey to Edmonton, Pastor John became very ill on the road and developed Cellulitus in his arm. By the time we reached our destination the Lord was so wonderful as Pastor Ayo from RCCG Rhema Chapel arranged one of his church members, a doctor, to tend to Pastor John.

that are needed in people’s emotions.

There is a spirit of depression in America that has gripped so many lives. The word from Daniel about receiving our destiny and calling tailor made for each one of us has spoken directly into so many hearts on this tour and brings forth yearnings to seek God and let go of worldly input.

We visited Medicine Hat and Regina, two places that, with a combined population of about 300,000, very few know about. We are so pleased that the Lord brought us. Joshua, a dear brother from Zimbabwe, was touched by the Lord in a Vinesong ministry years ago. He felt such an urge in his heart to bring the team to Medicine Hat. We ministered in a church where you could

one day. Her entire countenance changed into glorious peace and excitement for her future at the end of the evening. Praise the Lord!

Regina brought even more excitement when we witnessed a woman restored from years of pain in her marriage. From glory to glory and after a full day’s journey to Winnipeg, our joy was evident when we encountered the presence of the Holy Spirit in such a profound and strong way all through the services on the Sunday at RCCG ICC. Many young people came forward at Daniel’s invitation to ask God for a miracle. So many are realising that things like social media take away so much of our time with the Holy Spirit. Many of us feel lost and uncertain of God’s call on our lives. That night, many received the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a spirit of worship brought so many to their knees praying for revival and change. Truly the promises of the bible are reality. God never fails and loves to answer His children when we seek His face.

Following our ministry in Chicago we stopped over for a few days in Grand Rapids, Michigan with long time friends of Daniel’s family, who kindly invited the team to stay. These friends have been fighting a very rare muscular disease that has left Judy Apol very weak.

The diagnosis included a maximum of 5 to 7 years to live. As we sang the blessing from Numbers 6 in their living room, the anointing fell. Every person present could not stop tears

Proverbs 3:6 from flowing. We sang another song called ‘Healing Stream’.

That evening, we saw such a release and emotional healing.

As a result, a few of the ladies that were there asked if we would please sing in their local community center the following day. An email was sent out asap and 54 people turned up and filled the small gathering room.

Forty-five minutes later there was not a dry eye in the place.

God came and met with those who needed a refreshing. Each of us were uplifted and many who hadn’t heard the gospel in full responded to a narration on the life and death of Jesus. What an unexpected addition to our tour and we thank the Lord for using Vinesongnewsletter

We crossed the Canadian border again a few days later, still encouraged by the previous days’ events.

We ministered in London, Ontario for a weekened followed by ministry in the Toronto and Mississauga, St. Catharines, and

finally Montreal and Gatineau where we were able to minister in French again.

The owner of our AirBnB in Montreal came in early to clean up as we left for Ottawa and mentioned she was celebrating her 40th birthday that day, so the team stopped packing bags to sing ‘The Blessing’ over her. She burst out crying as the Lord ministered to her. We left her with a blessing and a french album. Finally, our Canadian tour ended in Ottawa.

We look back and are blessed when we see how faithful the Lord was over every mile travelled and every life touched.

We entered Massachusetts and ministered at the D.L. Moody Center in Northfield.

These beautiful grounds contianed the places where the great evangelist D.L. Moody was born, lived and died.

During his time, this 2,400 seat auditorium was used for meetings every day of the week and so full that people would wait outside for the next service. It was an awesome privilege to minister there. To top it all off, David Moody, who is D.L. Moody’s 80 year old greatgrandson, came and attended the event.

Find out more about D.L. Moody here: From Northfield we moved across to Boston to minister and stay with our dear friends Pastor Wayne Shirk, his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Eddie and church members Andrea and Gladstone Bennett.

As Pastor Wayne will tell you, when we come to New Hope, we always catch one or the other at some crossroad in life.

This time it was our turn! It was then that we asked Eddie, a self-confessed car junkie, to help us start to locate a new van for the ministry to buy. We treasured our time of fellowship with New Hope AoG Saugus over the 4th of July week.

and your passion to make disciples of Jesus. We also had incredible events with Crossroads Worship Center, whose sanctuary we featured on page 6. We thank God for Rev. Karen Rydwansky and her vision to plant this wonderful church that represents 43 nations, supports 50

missionaries abroad, and have prayer meetings together daily. After 10 days of fellowship, and ministry in the area, we said goodbye. We loved our time together and so greatly appreciate the opportunity to build on our years of friendship.

FAMILY After 5 years we also were elated to see our extended Vinesong family, Steve and Evelina Shippee who were members of Vinesong many years ago. They organised for Vinesong to minister in an open air gazebo and it was so well attended by members from numerous churches in the area as well as other visitors.

Something that is very uncommon in Rhode Island and many other places for that matter.

The presence of the Lord was so strong in the open air surrounded by such beauty on a perfect Sunday evening. There was even one man who experienced a miraculous physical healing from a shoulder injury that he received years ago in a car accident. You can read more about his testimony on page 38.

Meeting with long standing friends on the road is so joyful and refreshing. Tom and Sharon Romeo not only provided us with their home for the week, they also organised for us to minister at their church Sacred Exchange in Rhode Island. The uplifting and refreshing presence of the Holy Spirit was so evident to many who received healing and repented in areas that could have held them back from reaching their destinies.

As we crossed the New York border, immediately we knew we had entered a new principality. When a police car pulled up behind us on a parkway, we thought we were in trouble. There are certain vehicle height and weight restrictions for those roads, and we don’t meet the criteria for half of them. As we slowed down, he came up next to us with a bright and helpful face.

He was trying to show us one of our trailer tyres had burst! We stopped at the next off ramp to exchange it with the spare in the blistering heat wave. Praise the Lord that he let us know before a wheel was ruined. We had seen this many times before, and knew all too well that we had just entered the spiritual jurisdiction of New York.

We had awesome times of ministry in the UN visitors Lobby, a concert specially organised for us every couple of years. We pray throughout the year for this meeting because of it’s strategic location. We had about half the time we normally do and were only allowed to carry in a keyboard and one speaker and one microphone, with no screens. Even still, the Lord used that little bit to bless people. We thank God for every opportunity!

Later in the same day, we ministered to French and Spanish tourists at Bethel Gospel Assembly in Harlem. Bethel Church is very well known in the city and they provide many types of services in the community. They are heavily involved with every societal issue ranging from the youth to the homeless to the destitute and the addicts. At this meeting, advertised by the church on a regular basis, more than 300 attended. By the end of the meeting, around 40 prayed for salvation, including the dramatic salvation of a friend of ours that we have held in prayer for a long time! God shows us time and time again that His promise in Romans 8:28 is true. That scripture recognizes the fact that not all things in life are good - but that He will turn all things around for good - for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. As Christians, this describes every single one of us!

Goodbye Shamu, Hello Chevan!

It all came together in a glorious ending in New York when we were able purchase a new van for the ministry! Shamu (our blue GMC Savanna) had been faithful for almost 20 years. For all these years, it had travelled the length and breadth of Canada and the USA, towing all our equipment over mountain ranges, valleys, deserts, swamps, dirt roads and asphalt, and even

survived a hurricane. After landing on the back of a flatbed truck one too many times, we decided it had earned a well deserved rest. We are grateful to Lord for His provision on this tour that made it possible for us to make such a purchase. May it facilitate in bringing many more into the Kingdom as we continue to serve the body of Christ with the commission He has called us to.

FAREWELL After 90 days, 45 meetings and over 12,000 miles by road, we said goodbye to North America. We parked the van in Philadelphia after our ministries and drove to Newark Airport to return home.

We are so grateful to God for all He has done throughout this magnificent time in America and Canada. There were many testimonies, some of which we are so excited to share with you in the next section. Thank you so much for taking the time to read. We hope you are encouraged that the Holy Spirit is continually moving in the many places He takes us to. So many people have had encounters with Jesus and we sense tremendous things coming for the Body of Christ. We give God glory for everything; every blessing, every miracle, every healing, and every soul won to the Kingdom of the Living God.

Testimonies There were many many testimonies over the last few months but some people made a special point of coming and sharing the next two with us, so we thought we would make a special point of sharing it with you!

Revelation 12:11

“They overcame by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony.”

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Following our final ministry of the tour a father came to us with his son and told us a wonderful, testimony.

Chidubem is 12 years old and his father is a Neurological Paediatric specialist, one of the top in his field. One month ago, Chidubem woke

42

up and had no idea who he was or any of his family. They rushed him to hospital and his father explained that he was like a computer with an operating system but with no files or data. They prayed for him and over him whilst he was in the hospital and played the song ‘Let Your Living Water Flow’. When they played that song, it was as if part of Chidubem’s memory came alive and he was able to sing along to the song. As soon as the song was turned off, he returned to his former state - knowing and recognising

Pastor John with Chidubem and his father at our service in Philadelphia. Praise the Lord for His healing power! nothing and no-one. His family continued playing the song over and over and slowly but surely, Chidubem began to recover and his memory was restored.

We thank God for the power He placed in that song to bring such healing and deliverance.

His father said that despite his own training, expertise and knowledge of the paediatric brain, he was powerless to do anything. We know that when we can’t, God can! Another man came foreward for prayer in our outdoor meeting in Rhode

Island. He had been in a car accident some 6 years ago and had extremely limited mobility in his arm. He couldn’t lift his elbows above his chest. The team prayed for him, and he cried as the Lord healed him and lifted his arms high above his head!

He later testified to the church that the pain was completely gone and he can lift them again without any problem.

A Final Note We want to thank all our friends who pray for us, support us, and encourage us.

month of August. In September and October, we are booking meetings in Holland, Germany, Norway and Sweden. Later in the year, after a brief recoup in England we shall be returning to the mission field end from October through December in Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria.
