TheAcademicscholarshipapplication processisacombinationofacademic testing(includingonlinecognitive abilitytestsanda30-minutewritten Englishpaper),aninterviewwitha memberoftheLeadershipTeam.
Prospectivecandidateswillbeasked tobringtotheassessmentaselection oftheirartwork,whichdemonstratea rangeofskills.Ontheday,candidates willbeaskedtositadrawingtest, lastingonehourandthirtyminutes. Duringthistime,theywillbeaskedto

Candidateswillberequiredtoperformanactedauditionpieceof theirownchoice(amaximumofthreeminutes)totheDirectorof Drama.Thispieceshouldbefromapublishedplaysotheycan discussthecharacterandcontextofthemonologueatinterview. Thesceneshouldbememorisedanddeliveredwithafull awarenessoftheimportanceofvocaltechnique,aswellas physicalresponse(facialexpression,movement,gesture,posture). Candidateswillalsosight-readapieceofunseentext.Theywillbe expectedtodiscusstheirinterestindramaandwhytheyhave appliedforthescholarshipinaninterviewwiththeDirectorof Drama.
Duringthemusicassessment,candidateswillbeexpectedto performtwocontrastingpieces,scalesappropriatetotheirGrade anddiscusstheircurrentmusicalexperiences.Candidatesare usuallyexpectedtosing,andauralandsight-readingtestsmay alsobegiven.
Candidatesmustprovideasummaryoftheirsporting achievementstodate,alongwithreferencesfromcoacheswhere appropriate.Assessmentswillinvolvefitnessandagilitytestsas wellasanumberofgames-basedscenarios,todemonstratetheir positionalandtacticalawareness,aswellastheirskill,agility,and fitnesslevelswhichwillbeobservedbytheDirectorofSport.
