The Vineyard will be CLOSED on Monday 1/2/2017! We will resume business hours Tuesday, 1/3/2017. Our Friday tasting will start at 4:30. NOTICE!!!: Our Saturday tasting will start at 5! Not at 3! Luke Goldschmidt Cabernet Sauvignon is a project between winemaker Nick Goldschmidt and his son to generate a wine that shows a balance of aspect, sunlight, water and microclimate. The Vineyard is proud to carry the Goldschmidt line! We carry the single vineyard higher end Goldschmidt, the Celsea Merlot, the Hilary Cab, the Katherine Cab. By a stroke of luck, The Vineyard was shipped a case of Luke Goldschmidt Cabernet Sauvignon! We had ordered the Katherine to restock & when we opened the case it was full of Luke Cabernet! What makes this significant is the wine is available at the California vineyard only and only 500 cases were made! It sells for $35 and is not available in Georgia.
Nick Goldschmidt has worked the land in Alexander Valley for some twenty-five years, relentlessly pursuing the best sites to produce Cabernet Sauvignon with distinction and class. "It's all about the land," he says. "I want to make wines brimming with personality." And it was often Luke who was by his side, quiet yet attentive, who all the while secretly yearned to channel his boundless energy and determination into a meaningful father-son project. Luke is studying to be a winemaker at Fresno State. During his time away from school he works with his father in the winery.
