熱烈恭賀長洲官立中學一百周年校慶及玫瑰崗學校五十周年校慶聲譽永崇！

展覽日期

這次因長洲官立中學 百周年慶及玫瑰崗學校五十周年慶，冠良特自資 舉行首次個展以示對兩母校慶賀之意，感念其熱烈直接、自信投入，在此恭 賀展出成功，並期待在漫長的藝術道路上能繼續深化成熟，而永保初生之犢 的勇氣及熱情。

我 和 李 冠 良 校 友 ， 是 在 長 洲 官 立 中 學 的 百 周 年 校 慶 視 覺 藝 術 展 上 認 識 的。當日校友聚首一堂，踴躍為展覽借出自己的作品。前輩功力深厚，一勾 劃皆出流響，自然讓觀眾神往；而芸芸校友之中，卻別有 位年青人在， 引起我的注意，其作品亦獨樹一幟，問之，即是李校友。

展覽當天時間緊迫，雖然喜見年青 輩的藝術種子，也無暇細味，不過 縱然是匆匆一瞥，他的風格己給我留下深刻的印象。其展品水墨畫「型男」 揉合東西風格，渾然天成，我欣賞之餘，也感懷百年老校的藝術底蘊，成就 出 這 樣 的 佳 作 。 與 李 校 友 閒 談 之 間 ， 得 知 他 在 2 0 0 3 年 會 考 美 術 科 摘 桂 奪 A ， 後來在高考美術亦蟬聯桂冠。我由衷讚許他的藝術足跡和辛勤灌澆出來的豐 碩成果。

近聞李校友出版畫集，欣賞有加。作品付梓面世，誠然是其藝術之路的 里 程 碑 ， 而 對 我 校 來 說 也 是 一 個 值 得 慶 賀 的 成 就 。 其 可 賀 者 ， 不 在 於 藝 術 成就的高低、所贏得的讚譽，而在於交流砥礪之心、拋磚引玉之效。唯有這 樣，藝術修為及個人修養始得與日俱深。過去，李校友以其藝術上的努力為 同學作了好榜樣，今日更擴而大之，和香港眾多有志於藝術的年青人一起推 動藝術發展，實在難能可貴。

在此祝願李校友的畫集能讓他以及所有藝術工作者有所進益。李校友丹 青初試，即獲得肯定，日後定可創制新猷。我謹此祝賀。

好的開始是成功的一半，很高興知道你能踏出這成功的第一步。一個藝術 展覽由籌劃至完成展出，當中涉及的行政和人事等非藝術創作工作實在很多， 這是你創作以外的 個考驗和 個難得的經驗，相信對你將來的藝術事業發展 有著正面的影響。

作為你中學的視藝科老師，看著你不斷努力向自己挑戰，為個人藝術理想 進發，我感到無限欣喜。自初中開始，你對藝術創作已有濃厚興趣，直至中四 中五選修美術，發覺你漸漸培養出個人藝術風格，在繪畫技巧上，你樂於接受 別 人 意 見 ， 吸 收 別 人 經 驗 ， 取 長 補 短 ， 精 益 求 精 。 還 記 得 你 在 中 四 時 曾 參 與 九十五周年校慶壁畫繪畫，你對創作的投入、母校的熱情，實為後學的楷模。

離 開 長 官 以 後 ， 你 仍 立 志 發 展 藝 術 事 業 ， 這 幾 年 裏 你 的 藝 術 修 養 不 斷 提 升，母校的栽培只為你建立根基，往後的成功仍須你個人努力，這次展覽的成 功 只 是 你 藝 術 事 業 發 展 的 起 步 ， 希 望 你 堅 持 這 份 對 理 想 進 求 的 執 著 ， 不 斷 改 進，期待你第二個、第三個個人展覽的出現。

I’d like to thank you for your honourable participation in tonight’s Opening Ceremony. Your supportive encouragement definitely brings life to my exhibition, which helps me to strive for more enhancements in my future artistic endeavors.

2008 is a remarkable and meaningful year in my life, as both Cheung Chau Government Secondary School (C.C.G.S.S) and Rosaryhill School celebrate their Centenary Jubilee and Golden Jubilee respectively in the same year, and I am impressed by your on-going efforts in Hong Kong to safeguard youngsters’ healthy growth throughout many decades. Because of your insistence on promoting wholesome education, alumni from C.C.G.S.S and Rosaryhill School are willing to commit themselves to behave responsibly for the community, pursue a proper and righteous mode of life, utilize academic knowledge to practical contributions and develop positive values for dealing with interpersonal relations. “ 博文約禮 " and “Veritas” are your essential mottos that make me understand the truth and benefit of “dedication”, from which I feel gratification in return. You taught me diligence, courtesy, flexibility, modesty and honesty, and I kept in mind to fulfill these requirements in every kind of obligation after my graduation. I am sure that, the diversified capabilities and helpfulness of C.C.G.S.S and Rosarian alumni will carry on to future generations and become an immortal spirit to brighten every corner of Hong Kong.

Now, would you kindly permit me to express my deepest gratitude to my three devoted Art Teachers, Ms. Winnie Choy, Mr. Kevin Leung and Ms. Kitty Ho. These teachers help to enlighten and inspire my interest in aesthetic awareness. They enhanced my drawing and painting skills by giving me intensive training. They encouraged me to participate in various artists’ workshops, external art competitions, exhibition tours and community art projects. Because of Ms. Choy, Mr. Leung and Ms. Ho’s heartfelt guidance, I learnt to adapt my imaginative ideas to practical creative experiences, which helped me to enhance my art portfolio. I will try my very best to fulfil Ms. Choy, Mr. Leung and Ms. Ho’s expectations by continuing to broaden my art horizons, pursuing more innovations in stylistic exploration and bringing auspiciousness to people aesthetically.

I’d also like to thank Hong Kong Baptist University, Prof. Wan Qingli and Ms. Cho Yeou Jui, for providing me the nicest atmosphere to nurture my creativity. With the tremendous support of instructors in Academy of Visual Arts, I’m sure that, students from our Academy are more courageous to hold art functions externally and to demonstrate their newly-acquired expertise to the public.

Thank you C.C.G.S.S for giving me the valuable chance to contribute my painting talent to your Centenary Visual Arts Exhibition in Hong Kong Central Library, and I’d like to thank Rosaryhill School for allowing me the responsibility to help edit the 50th Anniversary Publication. As I enjoyed the opportunity to have exchanges with alumni from previous generations, this helped faster in me the strong sense of belonging and loyalty to my two mother-schools. I can recollect the pleasant feeling of witnessing the long history of school developments, which increased my respect for Principals and Teachers of both C.C.G.S.S and Rosaryhill School who dedicated their constructive efforts for enhancing our schools’ reputations. I would hope that, this exhibition will become one of the numerous recognitions to your commitments, as well as giving my two mother-schools, together with H.K.B.U Academy of Visual Arts, a valuable chance for initiating prospective academic collaborations. I wish both C.C.G.S.S and Rosaryhill School a happy birthday! I would like to wish that my honourable principals and teachers will always be blessed and enjoy healthy and happy lives.
