Vincent Issier Senior Director of Marketing at MKS Instruments

After earning his degree in physics from the University of Bordeaux, Vincent Issier started working with Nanolase in 1998. He eventually relocated to California to join the Commercial Lasers R&D team after becoming an expert in passive Q-switched microchip lasers. He worked on various technologies, including low-power visible lasers and high-power fibre lasers.

Vincent Issier had a number of executive positions in R&D at JDSU from 2002 to 2010. He worked on significant, multi-million dollar R&D projects at various places in this capacity.

In 2010, Vincent Issier moved to JDSU's Product Line Management group, where he was in charge of the portfolio's P&L for micromachining. He also oversaw the vision and product life cycle, pushed for the purchase of Time Bandwidth, and increased Q-Series' yearly revenue from $25 million to $85 million.

Executive education courses, including Financial Acumen for Leaders, The Berkeley Executive Leadership Program, and Negotiation and Influence at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, have added to Vincent's professional development.

In addition, Vincent Issier has a Master's degree in Fundamental Physics from the University of Bordeaux and a DESS in Lasers and Applications, Laser and Optical Engineering from the University of Metz.
