"This is Jackson Square and the St. Louis Cathedral—you can hear jazz music just walking by!" said Alex.



"Mardi Gras is a huge parade with music, costumes, and lots of beads! People dance in the streets!" said Alex.



"Beignets are like sweet, puffy donuts," said Alex. "And gumbo is a spicy stew with sausage, shrimp, and rice. Yum!"


"The Saints play in the Superdome, and fans yell, 'Who Dat!' to cheer them on," said Alex.




"There’s music everywhere—especially during Jazz Fest!" said Alex. "New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz."


"Louis Armstrong was from New Orleans. He helped make jazz famous all over the world!" said Alex.


"In New Orleans, people say 'laissez les bons temps rouler!' That means 'let the good times roll!'" said Alex.




"Thanks for coming to New Orleans with me! Where should we go next?" said Alex. "Let the good times roll!"
