"Welcome to the Brite Star Thanksgiving play! Our kids are ready to act out the first Thanksgiving and share the joy of gratitude."

"Emma, dressed as a pilgrim, read a story of long ago. 'What did the pilgrims do on the first Thanksgiving?' a little one asked. 'They shared a feast to celebrate their harvest!' Emma replied."

Lucas, in a turkey costume, gobbled and danced. 'Why do we have turkey on Thanksgiving?' asked Miguel. 'Because it's a tradition from the first feast!' Lucas chuckled."

"Miguel and Sara set a table with corn, bread, and pumpkins. 'Did they really eat this?' Sara asked. 'Yes, they shared what they harvested!' Miguel answered."

"Billy and Cindy painted the Mayflower, the pilgrims' ship. 'Was their journey easy?' Billy wondered. 'No, it was tough, but they were brave!' Cindy said."

"Johnny showed how the Native Americans helped the pilgrims. 'Did they really help each other?'

Johnny inquired. 'Yes, they worked together for survival,' Teacher Lisa explained."

"Sam

and Ralph acted out a scene of sharing. 'Why is sharing important?' Ralph asked. 'It shows friendship and gratitude,' Sam replied."

"Tony played the drum as everyone sang a Thanksgiving song. 'What are we thankful for?' Tony asked the audience. 'Family, friends, and good food!' they answered."

"After the play, the kids and Teacher Lisa took a bow. 'What did you learn from the play?' Teacher Lisa asked. 'To be thankful and kind!' the kids exclaimed."

"After the show, everyone enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast. 'Can we do this every year?' Emma asked. 'Yes, it's a beautiful tradition!' Teacher Lisa smiled."

Kids writing what they are thankful for on a gratitude wall.

Sharing pumpkin pie, the kids cherished their Thanksgiving day. 'Isn't Thanksgiving about being together?' Miguel asked. 'Yes, and being grateful for each other!' Sara replied."
