Firefighter Fox was ready for the day.
“Safety is my job,” he said, checking his fire truck. “When there’s trouble, I’ll be there to help!”
Nearby, a group of critters was roasting berries around a small campfire. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew sparks into the dry grass. “Oh no!” one critter cried. “The fire
is spreading!”
A bird flew quickly to the Firehouse. “Firefighter Fox! There’s a fire near the meadow!” she squawked. Firefighter Fox grabbed his helmet and hose. “Let’s go!” he said.
Firefighter Fox raced through the forest in his bright red fire truck, the siren echoing. Critters peeked out of their homes, cheering him on. “You can do it, Firefighter Fox!”
When
Firefighter Fox arrived, he saw the
flames
creeping toward the
trees. “Everyone, stay back and stay calm,” he said firmly. “I’ll take care of this!”
Firefighter Fox aimed his hose at the flames, spraying water to stop the fire. The critters formed a bucket line, passing water from the creek to help put out the smaller flames.
The children pitched in by stamping out small sparks and clearing away dry leaves.
“We’re a great team!” one child said, smiling as they worked together.
After hard work, the fire was out. Firefighter Fox smiled. “Great job, everyone! We stopped the fire together.”
The critters cheered, feeling proud of their teamwork.
Firefighter Fox gathered everyone to teach them about fire safety. “Always keep your campfires small, and never leave them unattended,” he said.
“Safety first!”
Back at the Firehouse, the critters and children celebrated with Firefighter Fox. They enjoyed snacks and shared stories about how they worked together to save the village.
Firefighter Fox waved goodbye.
“Remember, being prepared and working together keeps everyone safe,” he said. “See you next time, and stay safe!”
