The faculty members at IBMR play a significant role in ensuring quality of education through effective and interactive teaching; continuous and multi-criteria assessment; and feedback to students.

At IBMR we strongly believe in ethics and value system. Apart from providing for professional skills, the course curriculum prescribed

by Karnatak University Dharwad, is specifically designed to cater the soft skills required for the corporate executives. In developing soft skills emphasis is laid on areas like self development and interpersonal skills, leading through teams etc. To inculcate a spirit of reverence, morality and virtues, students are guided on their behavioural aspects by a committee of faculty members who have a close interaction with the students in these 3 years. This aspect is supplemented with a support through various types of workshops and orientation programmes conducted by expert guests from different walks of life.

IBMR endeavours to make teaching participative and experiential.

Learning process is intended to be student-centric and not teacher-centric, meaning that the onus of learning is on the students. Infrastructure Library IBMR Library endeavours to serve the role of Knowledge Arena. The volumes of books and Journals is being continuously updated by adding new editions/publications. Presently the library has over 3,500 books and subscribes to numerous National and International journals freely accessible to all the members of IBMR. Students are issued library books as per the library rules framed and displayed in the library from time to time. Mutilating or defacing library books, journals and other material by highlighting, underlining, writing, removing pages, or otherwise damaging the library material will be viewed very seriously as an offence committed that may lead to disciplinary as well as penal action.

Projects and Industrial Visits Projects and Industrial Visits Internships/Projects constitute an integral part of the IBMR curriculum and are valued for their relevance in Management Education. Internship is positioned between the first and second year of the IBMR program. After completing the first year course work, the students are placed in different organizations for a period of two months on a specific assignment.

Apart from giving the students an opportunity to test out the theoretical concepts learnt in the classroom, the project experience gives an insight into the working of the real organizations. This also helps students explore career opportunities in their areas of interest and appreciate the inter-linkages among different functions and develop a realistic managerial perspective about the organizations.

The Corporate Resource Centre locates suitable projects in different organizations. The students have to accept the first offer they get. As a part of the assignment, students are required to submit a report. The presentation made by the student to the organization forms the basis for the evaluation of the project work.

Industry Visits To have a firsthand knowledge of how Industries and organizations operate, industry visits are organized. The interaction with industry experts, touring of factories and facilities help students to relate the theories they have learnt.

Awards Based on various parameters, personality traits displayed by the students during the three-year period, following awards are given to the deserving students in the following areas: l Best in all round Personality Development l Best in Leadership Qualities and Organizing Ability l Best in Innovative Excellence l Best Summer Project l Best student in Human and Traditional Values l Best in Business Acumen/Awareness l Best in Interpersonal Skills and Team Spirit l Best Athlete of the year l Best Sportsman of the year (Men and Women) l General Champion of the College (Men and Women) The Selection of the scholarship beneficiaries and the awardees will also be done on definite rules, regulations and criteria during Jan, Feb months of every academic year. These rules and regulations will be notified by the first week of Jan every year or as and when required.

Scholarships Based on the performance i.e. merit at the University examinations students obtaining first and second positions in every Semester will be rewarded with a scholarship in college fees for eligible students.

Scholarship in various areas of excellence will be awarded every year.

Spoorthi-2015 talent search exam for SSLC and PUC students, about 2256 students participated, Our students participated in management fest organised by other colleges and won many laurels.
