For more than 20 years, Peter Parrott served passionately as a critical leader in the financial and fundraising success of Volunteers in Medicine Clinic. His strong connections, intimate knowledge of our community, belief in the clinic’s mission and tireless capacity for campaign leadership enabled outstanding success, paving the way for the clinic’s Sustainability Fund that we are fortunate to have in place today.

The legacy that Peter leaves Volunteers in Medicine Clinic will be remembered for many years to come as will our deepest gratitude for his leadership, passion and dedication to the clinic’s success.

Fund-A-Need

VIM Clinic’s goal is to improve our patients’ overall health through wellness and prevention and helping them stay productive members of the community we love to call home. VIM Clinic’s Surgery Program is an excellent illustration of this commitment. Throughout this past year, VIM Clinic has helped 289 patients get the care they needed through the outstanding relationships we have with private sector physicians, surgical partners and outpatient diagnostic centers such as Outpatient Surgery Center of Hilton Head, Bishop Eye Associates and Hilton Head Hospital.

Usual customary fees for these surgeries and diagnostic procedures total well over $1,000,000. VIM Clinic was able to negotiate these fees to a total of $116,000, paid for through our Surgical Fund and patient contributions. Through VIM Clinic’s Surgery Program, our neighbors are now able to live productive lives and resume their role as providers for their families. Surgeries and procedures can sometimes be life-saving, but they are ALWAYS life-changing. We have 80 of our

currently on the VIM Clinic Surgery Program
