Spring Break at Maison LePailleur

Three Fibre Rich workshops From March 4 to 6 – 9:30 a.m. to noon Reservations required $$15 per workshop $40 for three workshops Materials included

The Maison LePailleur will provide children from ages 8 to 12 with three creative activities for a total of two and a half hours. In this series of workshops, children are encouraged to explore craft techniques to make original items related to fibres. Yarn, fabrics and paper will be in the spotlight!

Bien étoffé Wednesday, March 4

Children will make a cotton flag inspired by their imagination and representing their family.

Un cheval qui rock! Thursday, March 5

Participants will create a small 3D-rocking horse out of rigid cardboard with an assembly system.

Grimpeur sur tige Friday, March 6

Participants will make a paper puppet inspired by the world of fairy tales, which is articulated and mounted on a stick.

SPOKEPERSON Axelle «Ebony» Munezero

Axelle «Ebony» Munezero, a dancer who specializes in whacking, has won many urban dance battles around the world. During her career, she has worked with Arcade Fire, Corneille, the Dead Obies and Céline Dion, in addition to making television appearances on Danser pour gagner, Les dieux de la danse and, more recently, Révolution. Trained in contemporary dance at UQÀM, she was a dancer for Ebnfloh, Juxtapose and RUBBERBANDance before launching her own creation company, Asymmetry. She travels constantly to give workshops and judge dance battles around the world: Japan, Russia, South Korea, China, Australia, Paris, Los Angeles, Taiwan and Singapore.
