Mémoire de femmes (A Commemoration of Women) From March 8 (International Women’s Day) to April 5 Vernissage on March 8 from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

This exhibition brings together the work of more than 20 artists, both amateurs and professionals, who have looked at the history of women.

Poetry evening – Open mic Under the direction of the Plume bavarde poetry collective Friday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m.

As part of the Mémoire de femmes exhibition, there will be a poetry evening with a public reading of short poems related to women. Under the direction of the Plume bavarde poetry collective, participants will be able to share their words or simply enjoy those of others in the quiet atmosphere of an evening at the museum.

Coup d’œil sur le patrimoine (Heritage at a glance) From April 16 to May 31

For an eighth consecutive year, Maison LePailleur is proud to host this exhibition and contest presented by the Secondary IV students of Collège Héritage. A selection of more than 50 photographs – the museum team’s favourites – will be unveiled in order to shed light on young people’s perception of our local and regional heritage.

Objet de mémoire (Heritage Objects) In the attic of the museum From April 16 to May 31

This collaborative exhibition, created in 2019 through a partnership between Pointe-du-Buisson and Collège Héritage, showcases heritage objects created by Secondary IV students at Collège Héritage in Châteauguay.

For the fifth consecutive year, Ville de Châteauguay, in co-operation with Maison LePailleur, will offer amateur and professional photographers the opportunity to illustrate their citizen vision through a photo contest and an outdoor exhibition. Set on the site of the historic Maison Gravel and first launched during the Journées de la culture, the exhibition will continue until November. Prizes will be awarded to four photographs that really stand out: three in the “Resident“ category and one in the “Ville de Châteauguay employee“ category. The photos may showcase the City’s history, show local people or depict breathtaking landscapes and scenes. Above all, the contest is an extraordinary forum to make your voice heard as a citizen and share your experience and point of view.
