As the holiday season approaches, so does the anticipation of fun and laughter for the children of Anza. Some parents however might be dreading the holiday time, due to the lack of funds to buy their children a present for Christmas. From The Heart understands this dilemma and has been helping out for 11 years. Christy James, the new president of FTH, recently took over for the previous president and founder, Linda Heart and has been involved with FTH for approximately seven years. She has been very involved the past five years in the group which was founded 11 years ago, to meet the needs of the community. FTH holds rummage sales a couple of times a year in preparation for the annual Christmas giveaway. The group also does a huge

A slew of talented volunteers made Thanksgiving Day extra special for many local Anza and Aguanga residents. The Anza Community Hall hosted a dinner that was organized. prepared, served, and cleaned up by members of Anza’s F.U.N. group, Living Hope Church, the Christian Motorcycle Association and students from Olivet University. Anza Valley Gas generously donated $300 to help cover expenses. The feast featured deep-fried turkey, succulent ham, green bean casserole, salads, rolls, mashed potatoes, yams and all the traditional trimmings, topped off by sugary treats.
