Healthcare district shelves core services vote Andrea Verdin Special to The Village News The Fallbrook Healthcare District board of directors stayed a decision on which core services will be retained at Fallbrook Hospital, as Community Health Services (Fallbrook Hospital Corp.) closed its labor and delivery unit on Sept. 3. The for-profit company, based in Tennessee, has cited financial losses as the reason it wishes to discontinue its contract. It abruptly suspended maternity (labor and delivery) services.
