Originally planned in 1932, by forward thinking members of the local community, Aghalee Village Hall was built, opening in 1933 for the benefit and use of the inhabitants of the village of Aghalee and the surrounding neighbourhood. It is one of the last remaining Carnegie Halls in Ireland, set up as a neutral hub to be used for physical, mental recreation, intellectual development and educational and social activities. The hall cannot be used for either religious or political activities. The organisation is made up of Custodial Trustees who hold the property in Trust for the Aghalee community and Management Trustees, all unpaid volunteers, who as a group manage, run and develop activities for the local community. The hall is financed by income from rental hire and by grants applied for each year, along with donations from the public. If you feel the hall would suit the needs of your organisation or group, please contact us.
