To get a library card, you have to come with your passport or any other document with your full name in it (better in ukrainian). The photo of passport is also acceptable. The other document required is your “permission to classes” («Допуск») from the Dean’s Office.

Your library card is your personal document. Be careful, don’t give it to other people in order to avoid different problems that may arise.

The electronic delivery of literature can be carried out only in the presence of the student and his library card.

The library offers international editions medical books, textbooks written by the ukrainian scientists and university professors. It also offers fiction literature which is represented by novels and short stories of different genres.

To borrow the textbooks the reader shall come with his reader’s card and permission to classes. The textbooks are delivered for the period of studying the discipline (a semester, a cycle, a module, or an academic year).

After exams, modules or cycles, the students must return the books in the subjects they finished to study. Before the summer holidays, students are obliged to return all library books.

The reader who has not returned the books on time, shall be considered debtor and is deprived of library use until complete settlement.

The readers are obliged to use mindfully the books delivered from the library funds, return them on time, not to do any notes on them, not to tear off or bend pages. The responsibility for spoiled literature is on the reader who used it last.

If the reader’s card was lost the reader can get a duplicate after the announcement of the loss and paying for a new library card.

The loss of the library card does not remove the responsibility for all the literature that was taken on it.

The readers who had lost books from the library funds, or caused them irreparable harm should replace them by the same ones or recognized by the library equivalent. If such a replacement is impossible, the readers are obliged to compensate the cost of lost or damaged literature.
