highest standards of health and cleanliness, and

our new, updated protocol enhancements make travelling with Viking even safer. Developed in coordination with an international team of scientific and medical advisors including Chief Health Officer Vice Admiral Raquel C. Bono, M.D., the Viking Health & Safety Program is one of the most well-researched and comprehensive COVID-19 prevention and mitigation plans in the travel industry. Part of these protocols include the requirement that all Viking guests and crew are vaccinated against COVID-19. It’s these measures that keep you safe, while letting you enjoy your cruise the way you expect to.

VIKING’S SAFETY-FIRST APPROACH: PCR testing and dedicated PCR laboratories – Viking is the only cruise line to install full-scale PCR laboratories on its entire fleet of ocean ships, as well as the soon to be launched expedition vessels. This means we can conduct quick, non-invasive saliva PCR tests every day, testing crew and guests in the privacy of their staterooms, keeping everyone safe. Everyone is tested prior to embarkation, and local partners – including motor coach drivers and tour guides – are tested before any tours.

Contact tracing devices – All guests receive

a small contact tracing device to wear around their neck or keep in their pocket.

Industry-first sanitisation – In an industryfirst, we are using new sanitisation robots that utilise UV-C light to treat surfaces in guest and crew public areas every night, while you’re asleep.
