Trip Overview
Enjoy a short safari to Masai Mara National Reserve. The safari departs Nairobi in the morning and involves a drive down to the floor of the Rift Valley, stopping at a point to see the escarpment and the awesome sight of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in search of the ‘big five’
Day 1. Nairobi - Masai Mara
You will be picked up from your hotel for the transfer to the Wilson Airport in Nairobi for your flight to the Masai Mara.
Depart on a scheduled flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Weather permitting you will have aerial views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley and the scenic geological occurrences including sights of the beautiful Great Rift Valley lakes. Please arrive at the Masai Mara airstrip at about 10:00 hrs. You will be received at the airstrip for a transfer to the Lodge/Camp on a 4×4 Safari Land cruiser and enjoy a short safari game drive en route to your Masai Mara Safari Lodge for check-in and lunch. An afternoon game drive will follow a short rest. Dinner and overnight at a Masai Mara Luxury Safari Lodge or Camp.
Day 2. Masai Mara
Spend the day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity to spot the Big Five –lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant.
Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire day in the park, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives. You will also have the option of visiting a local Masai village (at your own cost). All meals and overnight at the Masai Mara Lodge or budget Camp.
Day 3. Masai Mara - Nairobi
Another early morning game drive in Mara, then depart after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving at lunchtime.
