VICTORIA SKIMBOARDS
PRODUCT GUIDE 2023

PRODUCT GUIDE 2023
A lot of our Team riders took advantage of the United Skim Tour Stop #1 in Melaque, Mexico. This is the first year Melaque has been a stop on the UST. Melaque has stolen all of our riders hearts who have been lucky enough to visit or grow up in this special piece of land. Melaque has produced some of the best skimboarders in the world over the past few years. We are proud to say a lot of our riders held down the top spots of the event. Big congratulations to team rider Chabe Blanco (See p 28-29) from Mazunte, Mexico for taking the top spot in the women’s pro division. Bryan Lopez long time Victoria local rider from Melaque, took the top spot for the Male Professional division, making him the current number one Skimboarder on the United Skim Tour (UST).
Durable, fast, and easy to ride make it a must have board for any aspiring flatland rider. With Urban Skimboarding on the rise, the Slider can take on the longest stretch of beach you can find, as well as rails and obstacles. The Slider is designed with a textured fiberglass finish that feels similar to grip tape and will always keep you stuck to your board.
The Woody has been our bread and butter since the very beginning. If you’re looking to learn the fundamentals of the run, drop, slide, this is the board for you. Each board is constructed from a Russian birch core, and individually hand painted to make each board one of a kind. The Woody will have you sliding endlessly on any beache, grass lawn, or behind a boat. The shape is also quite functional for wave bashing and wave riding, though it is a bit harder with the weight of the board. This is the perfect board for trying out the sport. You don’t spend a lot, but you get a board that will last generations and is beautiful enough to mount on your office wall.
The Foamie is our entry-level foam core board reinforced with fiberglass and Epoxy resin. The FOAMIE is the most affordable foam core of our line. More surface area than wood with less weight makes foam cores the preferred choice of beginning to intermediate riders. Extra rockered nose is handy for learning how to navigate the sand to water transitions. Colorful print art. Great low price! This board is designed for the rider that is ready to take their skimming passed the water line and into the shorebreak to ride a wave back in. The ultimate goal as a skimboarder.
The Ultra is our industry standard 5/8” mid-density core that we guarantee will get the job done. Combining premium materials with state of the art production, The Ultra comes in our two most popular shapes, “The Classic” and “The Glide.” The Ultra is designed to perform great in all conditions small or big. The 5/8” core will give you the best close to the water control. The slight flex walks across the water. Light, Strong, and a guaranteed smile on your face. Keep it simple, keep the price down and still get all of the quality and performance (art options p. 16-17)
Time tested under the feet of legends, and ushering in the new guard of our current top riders, the Poly has been ridden in the heaviest conditions and has carried our riders to the top of countless contest podiums around the globe. Featuring a high density foam core available in both 3/4” and 5/8” thickness, the Poly rises above the rest
as one of the fastest, strongest, and most responsive boards on the market. Being completely customizable, the Poly can be tailored to fit the conditions you ride in every day. (Also available in our “Bigfoot” sizing for our larger riders) Available in any shape or Pro model (art options p. 14-15)

Designed to be a bit shorter and wider for our beginner, and intermediate riders. The focus is on reaching more waves. The Glide is recommended for anyone with this goal. If your waves are small and hard to reach. . . We think this shape is the one.
Our most refined shape. The new and improved version of our Classic shape. Shaped with slightly more volume in the nose of the board for more distance and a tiny modification to the classic pintail for remarkably improved control. Due to its similar design in the nose and tail, this shape also works great for technical tricks as it performs great riding backwards as well. Lift is favored by Amber Torrealba and Paddy Mack.

The Weber shape has been reimagined from our very popular flying fish shape. Johnny Weber wanted to take off some of the meat and have this board be the perfect combination to slide out for miles but also maintain a great amount of control. We consider it our maximum distance fish tail. It is a little more challenging to turn, unless you are John.
Single wing, short and wide, works great in all conditions, especially good for distance. This shape is a guaranteed fun board for all ages. The preferred shape of Tex Haines! Inspired by one of the legendary Kahanamoku family David K. It is a highly functional shape time tested since the 70’s.
Rocker, that slight curve from nose to tail is so important. All the best materials won’t matter if the rocker is off. Victoria has had rocker dialed in for years. Our standard rocker is designed for speed and distance. You will feel the difference! But at Vic your options are not limited. If you skim the East coast, you might like less rocker for the flatter sand slope. Big wave, steep beaches, like Cabo for example, might require a bit more rocker to handle the transition from sand to wave. Tail Rocker? We don’t recommend it, it will slow you down dramatically. The slight maneuverability you gain isn’t worth it, unless you are an advanced rider.
Grooves along the rails on the deck give the rider extra grip while grabbing the rail either going down the line, or for an air trick. Those groves have also shown to slightly increase the stiffness of the board. More riders are choosing this option! Available on request as well!
Boxy rails bounce off water and resists catching, tapered rails are faster, and hold better, but catch more often. We recommend our hybrid rails but tapered or boxy are available on request!
The Hoffman name is legendary in surfing, and for many years the surf clothing industry has been ordering fabrics from their other famous namesake, Hoffman Fabrics. Their designs are beautiful, authentic, and ever changing. Our selection is always changing, and always awesome. Fabric art can be incorporated into any custom board.
Johnny worked closely with Victoria’s shaping team to refine the popular flying fish, and make it a more high performance board. This exact board, Poly Carbon with a 5/8” core size Medium is exactly what brought him to the top of multiple podiums and becoming the Champion of The VIC 2021, one of the highest honors you can get as a skimboarder.
Poly Carbon lift shape designed by Amber Torrealba. The board features rail channels for grip and comfort, a pin tail for more control, and an exaggerated nose rocker for high performance. This shape is 3/4” in the middle for added float and tapered to 5/8 in the nose and tail for maneuverability.

After riding the classic shape for 10 years Paddy transitioned to the lift Shape. He created a shape built for speed, float, and control in any kind of conditions. He is known for his powerful wraps in heavy shorebreak, technical tricks and airs. He created this resin art that has been very popular amongst the Skim community for years.
Adjusted from a classic woody from the 60’s by Tex Haines, this shape is equivalent to surfing’s fish shapes that are currently in a comeback. Shorter length for turnability, wider middle and tail increases the planing surface for distance, and a swallow tail provides control in the turns. It works for me!
Brandon Sears has been one of the most influential names of skimboarding for quite sometime. He has one of the most iconic wraps in the sport. And he is probably most well known for hucking huge backside airs. It was an easy decision to make sure Brandon was happy with his equipment under his feet. Together we have created a design that Brandon knows works and he can rely on.
From Mazunte Mexico, Chabe is the 2022 VIC Champion and current leader of the UST after winning the first stop in Melaque, Mexico in January. She is consistent in her riding and performances. She has competed and won an open division including men last year. Follow her travels and sessions on instagram @chabewhite. Her pro model is exactly the board she has been riding for the past couple of years. It is a 3/4 inch Poly Carbon LIFT shape. Chabe rides an XS. We are thrilled to introduce this model to our 2023 line up and to see where Chabe brings the sport of Skimboarding.
Jon is one of the longest standing active Victoria Skimboards team riders, with roughly 17 years under his belt. It almost goes without saying that he’s spent years perfecting the most versatile skimboard that performs in pretty much any conditions available. Whether that’s performing tech tricks back at his old stomping grounds in the Gulf of Mexico or big
wraps and frontside bashes at Aliso or even down in Cabo San Lucas. The design of the Jon Howell Pro Model features the first of its kind art, the bottom of the board uses color-shifting iridescent flakes that mimic the look of a beetle’s wings and smooth show stopping neon yellow to deep ocean blue gradient along the rails.
