Museum for the Blind and Visually Impaired
W Lancaster Ave
Located in Fort Worth, Texas. This museum was designed around the existing buildings on site. The Modern Art Museum, and Kimball Art Museum are located directly to the North and West sides of the site. The repetition from these buildings created a pattern for my design.

Designing for the blind community, this design was centered around heightened senses, non visual. Allowing for a quiet location on the exterior of the building and a materialized design for efficient navigation throughout the interior.

The repetition of my design was focused around mimicking both museums surrounding the site. Keeping the pattern simple and creating a grid within the space. The tree centrally located on the site was kept to be used as a key part of my design, and left open to the outside.
