The San Juan Islands are world-renowned for both resident and migratory pods of both mammal-eating “Biggs” orca whales and salmon-eating resident orca whales. The Islands are also teeming with humpback and minke whales as well as Dall’s porpoise, seals, otters, blacktail deer and over 100 pairs of bald eagles.
Explore the island’s serene, natural beauty by biking, kayaking, hiking, bird watching and more. Soak up local culture and check out one of the many wonderful restaurants around town.
IMMIGR ATION: Identification is necessary for Customs and Border Protection. Due to heightened security at the United States/Canadian border crossing, all travelers must present a Passport, Passport Card or Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) at all sea and land borders. Check with your local DOL for more information or visit our website. Children traveling without both parents must have written authorization from the other parent or proof of custody. If you are not a United States or Canadian born citizen you will be required to have a passport and possibly a visa.
