again - perhaps in some way getting a glimpse of the way mothers come
too - the way they notice the smallest details of how much we have grown held us in their arms - asking "Time flies past- when did you grow so fast?"

I have always been fascinated by the interplay between light and shadow, and this is something I try and focus on in my interior designs, but also in photography. I try and use the camera lense to better understand how light and shadow is given shape through architecture. Far too often, artificial lighting tends to take away from the natural dance between light and shadow is day gives way to night, and night to day. I love the idea of chasing something which can never be caught, and only ever observed.

Animals have always had an important part of my life as I have moved around in my life every 3-4 years, they were the best friends I did not have to leave behind, and instead were by my side as I continued my life-story accross various different cities and countries.
In this series, I present two projects.
The first 3 studio photos are part of a self-directed project in the context of Interior Design studies in which I decided to feature my dog, Aika, taking inspiration from photos of famous photographer William Wegman.
The second series of 3 dog portraiture photos was done in the context of social media content creation for a high-end brand of dog accessories I worked for professionally.

This is a feeling I have never known. hometown & country, a place that provides a sense of identity has always felt moved every 2-3 years: a blank new page, new people, new place, new language, discoveries. What happened then to my technical hometown ; The city of Paris? city I was born, through my camera lense I found myself carefully retracing the and rituals from distant memories, repainting the grizzled frozen pictures in my mind with new vibrancy and color - transported to the past by the subway.

Wishing to highlight the beauty of animated films led me to the select my movie by Hayao Miyazaki with Japanese Studio “Ghibli, "Spirited Away". A harsh yet endearing, beautiful yet bizarre become intertwined. In this project bridge the gap between animation and the real world by juxtaposing elements from the movie into my photos using photoshop. Recreating key scenes was curious to see if some stories are best left to the world of animation.

Mixing product photography taken in the studio, I used adobe illustrator to sketch on top of the dog accessory product photography to give them a more playful narrative in the context of a previous professional role in marketing and social media content creation for a high-end dog accessories brand.
I came up with the idea of adding a whimsical touch to the more standard studio-based product photography to create engagement and positive reactions accross social media post. Creativity was almost endless in this pursuit which was incredibly entertaining.
