For the past 124 years, the VIA has been passionate about enhancing the health and welfare of the community. The VIA proceeds allocation will support projects that provide aid for
the needy in our community, scholarships for teens pursuing medical careers and for eligible women, often single mothers, returning to the workforce who wish to improve their education
and skills. It will also help us preserve our historic headquarters, the James-Lorah Memorial Home.
Peppermint Farm, a 32-acre farmstead, was once the home of the Simons family. Here Florence and Gerald Simons raised nine active children in the 1860’s six-bedroom farmhouse. The VIA appreciates the family giving us the opportunity to showcase their property.
