Are you aspiring to move your career into leadership?

The Inspire Leadership programme is a programme designed to help you realise your potential as a leader and turbo-charge your future career.

The Orion Inspire programme is a leadership development course dedicated to helping you take the next step on your leadership journey. A 16 Month programme starting in January 2025 and facilitated by leadership facilitator and coach, Ruth Cane.

The Programme

• Six in person workshops over a 16 month period

• Action Learning Sets to put your learning into practice

• 5/6 online Leadership conversations – senior and experienced leaders sharing their learning, experience and insights with school visits and inspirational speakers

• Development planning to help you identify and work towards your own development goals

• School visits and inspirational speakers

leader hoping to move your leadership to the next level?

Ruth works with future and senior leaders in the public and third sectors to find their unique leadership style, thrive and love their work and achieve their professional and personal goals. She is committed to broadening representation across the public sector and promoting diversity and inclusivity.

Her approach focuses on helping leaders identify and achieve their aspirations through greater emotional intelligence - becoming more aware of themselves and others, recognising and making best use of their strengths, overcoming the self-limiting thoughts and behaviours that hold them back and enabling them to meet uncertainty and barriers with courage, resilience and insight.

Ruth’s significant experience of leadership and personal development spans over 25 years including senior HR and OD roles. She provides executive coaching and leadership development for Chief Executives and other leaders across the public and third sectors and works in partnership with four police forces and a large Multi-Academy Trust on the design and delivery of leadership development programmes.

Ruth is an Associate Leadership and Career Coach with SOLACE, the Society

Ruth Cane Leadership Facilitator and Coach

for Local Authority Chief Executives and supports the Windsor Leadership Trust, frequently facilitating open and bespoke development programmes bringing together emerging and experienced leaders from all sectors across the world.

Ruth holds an MSc in Policy Studies, Diploma in Human Resource Management, NTL Certificate in Organisational Development, ILM 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring, Certificate in Career Counselling (CCS), Certificate in Management and Certificate in Management Consulting; she has also trained as an Insights Discovery coach. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), OD Practitioner (NTL), JCA Global Emotional Intelligence Coach and Image Consultant.

Ruth chaired the Thames Valley CIPD Coaching and Mentoring Group from 2017 -2021 and is a Member of the Association for Coaching.

Next steps

The programme has a value per candidate of £1,000 (at no cost to you) and is open to associate staff, teachers, middle and senior leaders who have demonstrated continued impact and potential.

Of course, you would be expected to attend all sessions and seek the support of your principal.
