Methodology:Professional Research Services contacted over 1,000 licensed general dentists and dental specialists in the following cities within the State of Virginia: Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Sufolk, Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, Smithfield and York County. In the survey, we asked each dentist which dentists they would recommend across Virginia. Each dentist was allowed to recommend up to three colleagues in each given dental specialty. Once the ballots were complete, each nominee was carefully evaluated on the basis of the survey results, the legitimacy of their license, and their current standing with the State of Virginia’s Department of Health. Dentists who received the highest number of votes in each specialty are reflected in order by specialty.
