Computer Training Los Angeles Report For June & July 2018
On June 13, the US Department of Labor released their United States economy jobs report, which stated that America has 6.7 million job openings and 6.4 million people to fill them. The Labor report went on to conclude that 33% of the listed job openings were in the field of information technology. The job openings were in the fields of cyber security, network administration, computer programming, database management and Web Development. The Department found that the reason for the unfilled jobs was a result of a skills gap, which employers reported as being highly frustrating. Companies reported they were ready to hire, but couldn’t find qualified individuals to fill the positions. Approximately 5,000 of the job openings were located in Los Angeles County. Career opportunities were located in the following cities: Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Culver City, Inglewood, The San Fernando Valley, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Hawthorne, and the South bay, which includes Redondo Beach and Torrance. Tech Career Training for Veterans Several large companies in Los Angeles are also looking for veterans to fill these tech career positions. For example, Boeing, Raytheon, Xerox and Space X, which is located in Hawthorne is looking for veterans trained in information technology. The positions available for veterans include cyber security and network administration. If a veteran wanted to obtain one of these positions, certifications including MCSE, CCNA, and CompTIA A+ are required for the networking field. Veterans looking for cyber security positions will need CompTIA Security +, Certified Ethical Hacker and Linux Fundamentals. Veterans who take advantage of a solid tech career program will be able to apply for these positions. Vet Tech Career Training for Veterans The most important aspect of applying for these positions includes a solid hands-on program offering Vet Tech Career Training. Employers are demanding this training be conducted in a curriculum, which is full hands-on. Training online or by virtual machines will not provide the necessary skills needed to apply for these positions.
