South from Oradea, the most important fishing places are the channels Cefa III, Cefa IV and the collecting channel from the Cefa Fishery neighbourhood (32 km). Cefa resort has one of the best offers in fishery (two pools, 6 hectares each, inhabited with different kinds of fish). We also count the other lakes from the area: Livada, Gepiu, Apateu, Miersig, Paleu, Leş, Valea Plopilor, Săldăbagiu, and the lake in the nearance of Borş – Santăul Mic has special equipment. In the northern part of the county, in Ier-BarcăuValea lui Mihai area the most attractive elements are linked to the lakes, natural reservations, famous vineyards and a rich hunting base. You can practice sports fishing on the river Ier and on the lakes near Văşad, Şimian (Valea lui Mihai), Ianca and Vaida (close to Diosig), Cadea (near Săcueni), Albiş and Crestur (Marghita). In the Ier valley you can find the hydrographic complex of Valea Rece (Sălacea), and the natural lake of Cicoş (Săcueni), remains of swamps which were characteristic to the Ier valley in the older days, having a specific flora. The Diosig vineyard exploits the lowland and hilly relief, for its vineries from Diosig, Săcuieni and Sâniob. According to researches, the vineyard place dates from the 16th century. Remarkable wines, such as the Feteasca alba (recommended species with fruitful taste and vivacity), Feteasca regala (authorized white wine, impressing the consumer by its charmy odor and rich bouquet) and the Muscat Ottonel (authorized wine, with golden colour and typical perfume) are produced here. The Valea lui Mihai area is well known for is famous vineyard and the natural reservation from Voivozi, where a meadow of Corynephrus conescens is protected, originally from Atlantic and Mediterranean regions. The Valea lui Mihai vineyard lies over the sandy lands of Carei, and has very old vinery traditions. In the 17th century the vineyards where organized in “grape-gardens”, being separated from agriculture. In this vinery center from Valea lui Mihai they produce the Feteasca regala wine (recommended, tasteful, easy and fine), Mustoasa de Măderat (authorized, the locals call it Lampau, which is a dominant wine, with strong local influences, twisting together the natural conditions of the fruits and the productions area). At a distance of 8 km from Oradea there is the bath resort called Băile Felix-Băile 1 Mai, famous for the natural curing elements, oligomineral, radioactive thermal waters with a temperature up to 49o C and for the sapropelic fosil clay you find here. The smooth clime and extended deciduous forests come to complete the attractive sight of the region. There are 4000 places to rest, eight treatment bases, an aftercare hospital, numerous hotels and pensions, clubs and restaurants, camping and spa, sport grounds etc. The curing bases are specifically equipped for electrotherapy, kinetotherapy, hydrotherapy, aerosol, massage halls etc., in order to complete the largest and most complex healthcare treatments of rheumatic, neurological, gynaecological affections etc. In Băile 1 Mai bath the floral rarities (thermal water lily– Nymphaea Lotus varietas thermalis- tropical relict species from the Tertiary) and animal rarities (a species of snail, endemic relict called Melanopsis parreysii Muhlfeld, and of fish, called Scardinius erythrophtalmus racovitzai, which survived to the last glaciations in the Peta lake, the only thermal ecosystem from Europe) lead to consider the region a natural reservation, which calls many tourists in this area. Tinca healthcare resort holds many springs with mineral water, being situated along the Crişul Negru river at about 36 km from Oradea. It is well known for its mineral waters with medical effects and for the reassuring bio-clime, natural cure elements etc. The botanical reservation with daffodils from Goronişte, in the neighbourhood of Tinca represents another touristic attractive element.
