Farm Safety was held virtually on March 27 and 28. Each class got to be further educated on such safety aspects as quad riding (one seat, one rider), lawn mowing (don’t play in the area), PTO shafts (shut off before handling), grain bins, carts and trucks (don’t play in grain), bale stacks (don’t play on stacks of bales), farm animals (from horses and cows to pigs and sheep – be cautious) and slurry tanks (manure quarries on dairy farms that could suck you in). We thank the instructors for helping to educate our kids to keep them safe.

Mrs. Bensmiller is working with 2A and Mrs. Heinrich for her second round of student teaching. Lakeland College students, Miss Jashandeep Kawi (1B), Mr. Amandeep Singh Chahal (5/6), and Miss Madeleine Hayes (6B), are in VES working with classes as student Educational

Assistants. We welcome all of these students and wish them much success in the future.
