Community Shredding Event At Regional Centre

The Town of Vermilion and Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) hosted a community shredding event at the Vermilion Regional Centre’s parking lot on Friday, November 17. An EnviroShred truck equipped for mobile shredding processed bins of confidential information in exchange for donations to the Vermilion Food Bank. Over 90 people attended, raising $190 in cash donations for the food bank as well as a half-ton truck full of food. Event organizer and Senior Support Coordinator for FCSS Shirley McRobert was enthusiastic about the turnout, saying, “This event was absolutely welcomed by this community.
