A NEW GENERATION OF Intelligent heat lamps

Our new generation of washable heat lamps not only represent a revolution in sustainable agriculture and energy optimisation, they are also one of the most intuitive and innovative operating solutions on the global market.

The IR sensors in the canopy intelligently measure piglets’ surface temperature and regulate the heat under the canopy. We call this Intelligent Heating, as the overall solution ensures optimal well-being for piglets and reduces mortality under optimal conditions and handling.

We chose VengSystem’s heat lamps for several reasons:

1. They offer quite large energy savings, measured in a 12-day test. The heat lamps use less than 1/5 of the power of heaters without control.

2. The heat lamps react quickly to temperature changes inside the pen, so the pigs do not feel too hot and start to head out towards the sow.

3. They are very easy to install when the pen already has a round hole.

4. As a small side benefit, it’s nice to have light in the pen (as with a traditional heat lamp) when the piglets are very young.

Our intelligent heat lamps ensure optimal heat distribution and utilisation and can replace all previous models 1:1. In addition, the bulbs come with a 2-year warranty and are available with CEE 3P plug or 100W bulb if desired.

With the Veng Infra solution and your phone at hand, you can easily access and adjust the heat curves of individual pens. Veng Infra is our most intuitive and energy-saving solution, as shown in the graph below. You achieve an energy reduction at optimal use of up to 85% compared to a traditional barn. If you want a more manual solution that still saves energy, we offer the Veng Stage, which is operated centrally at the pen with a magnet. All solutions replace our previous traditional heat lamp 1:1.

Intelligent canopy

Our smart canopies are best known for delivering energy savings of up to 85%, measured in tests and compared to a traditional barn, but that is not the only benefit our smart canopies deliver.

As the piglets find warmth in the centre under the canopy, rather than in a fully heated pen, the general temperature in the room is lowered, which has a positive effect on ammonia emissions. This also means that there are additional savings to be had on slurry cooling, so our intelligent canopies are a good investment in the climate-neutral farm of the future. This is what we call VengSystem Green Farming.

Our solution has been tested in the ”Energy Savings in Agriculture” project and is intelligent in the sense that the canopy is automatically raised or lowered depending on the pigs’ surface temperature and heat demand. VengSystem’s intelligent canopy consists of an sloped canopy, 3–4 intelligent heat lamps with IR sensor and a system for automatically regulating the position of the canopy. The IR sensor measures the pigs’ surface temperature and regulates the intensity of the lamp and the position of the canopy. You do not need underfloor heating or room heating in the pen, you get optimal air quality in the room, and most importantly, the pigs’ needs are met both night and day. However, a rubber mat is required.

VengSystem solutions are simple and efficient systems with significant energy savings and low installation costs.

We offer all different types of ventilation solutions on the market and produce and develop our controllers ourselves, so we make sure the quality is top-notch and you always have spare parts in the future, even for systems that are 20+ years old.

Low installation costs

With a centralised control system, all barns can be individually regulated. The control units are centrally located at each ventilation chimney. We are the only company to offer the option of routing the BUS cables one by one continuously, rather than running cables to each individual ventilator. One cable connects all controllers. This also means that if you need to expand, you can simply connect it from a given device, rather than routing new cables and armouring from the control unit.

Easier control and handling

The barns can be centrally monitored both digitally from our PC Management System and manually via the climate control system. Our PC Management System also enables you to monitor and adjust individual barns, as in most cases different climates will be required. And best of all, you do not have to go out to the barn – you can adjust, adapt and customise digitally. This also ensures that when and if the alarm goes off, you know firstly that there is a good reason for it, and secondly that you can get support from us because we can access the same data as you digitally via remote support.

The Hi-Lo principle

The Hi-Lo method is a unique way to build air extraction with minimal energy consumption and maximum safety – both in case of control failure and power failure. Hi-Lo is fully on par with EC ventilators, but less complicated.

The Hi-Lo principle offers clear benefits:

Safe minimum ventilation

Maintenance is minimal and the number of wear parts is minimised. The frequency control is common to several pen sections and does not wear out when the ventilation is running at maximum capacity. For energy renovations, regular fans can also be included in Hi-Lo, and the system also utilises intelligent step control so that some extractors are stopped and closed when fresh air demand is low.

Advice and guidance

In the case of renovation or new construction, we are available to review all pens and can make calculations on how the ventilation can be simplified and perhaps lead to the complete removal of some of the ventilation chimneys, based on greater dimensioning, which will lead to fewer wearing parts.

Our solutions and technologies are based on decades of experience, development and testing in collaboration with some of the world’s leading farms, and our service department ensures that you get the optimal and most economical solution.

UV-C kills viruses and bacteria and disinfects the air

With VengSystem’s UV-C solution, the air entering the barn is channelled past a series of UV tubes that kill viruses and bacteria and disinfect the air. This intelligent technological solution ensures a PRRS, MYC and AP-free environment.

All parts are customised to fit your buildings, and the solution is compatible with all existing ventilation systems. The solution can be installed on all types of ventilation, regardless of whether it is e.g. diffuse, equal pressure or negative pressure with wall valves. We design and develop for both new builds and existing properties, always with a focus on infection control, cost savings and optimising the climate in sties.

Our systems can be purchased with alarm monitoring on each individual unit, which means that if a fault occurs on a duct, you will be notified immediately, e.g. if a UV light needs to be replaced.

Intelligent infection protection with filter solution

By preventing viruses and bacteria from entering the barn environment via ventilation,

VengSystem’s filter solution is a sublime system in the fight against infection.

There are many options when it comes to filter solutions for infection control, and one of the options we offer is a HEPA filter that can be expanded with a geothermal heating/ cooling system.

The VengSystem HEPA filter solution is a specialised solution

VengSystem ventilation with HEPA filters for pathogen-free livestock stops 99.995% of all viruses from 10nm and larger. The central ventilation unit comes with three filter types, ventilator, ventilation control, heating, cooling and monitoring. The ventilation units are usually placed on the ceiling for extended lifespan and simplified service.

The unit can be expanded with a geothermal heating/cooling system where the air passes through an underground pipe before entering the barn. This way, the air has a more constant temperature all year round as the air intake pipes are located two metres underground. An overpressure is maintained in the pen, which prevents contaminated air from being blown in from outside.

VengSystem Standard Solution

VengSystem’s standard filter solution is an 85% infection control solution that can be fully integrated into your holding. We offer two different types of standard solutions, a solution for negative pressure ventilation via wall vents, and an overpressure solution in the attic space that is customised for diffuse or combi-diffuse ventilation.
