SHELL BUSINESS OPERATIONS CHENNAI Shell Business Operations (SBO) Chennai, one of Shell’s fastest growing locations, provides significant financial and data solutions across the globe for the Royal Dutch Shell. The centre, which commenced operations in 2008, has been maintaining key Shell financial controls and delivering management information that helps our frontline businesses and assets to make decisions that impact RDS top and bottom line. Each day, the centre deals with transactions worth more than USD 2 Billion. By delivering value through continuous improvement and analytics & robotics (automation) capabilities, we enable finance to power performance.

Chennai is the home for diverse finance and data teams such as Reporting & Analysis, Tax Operations, Controls and Compliance, Local statutory reporting, Data Management, and Analytics. Additionally, new capabilities have been set up over the last few years including HR Analytics, T&S Global Operations Commercial Services, and Customer Operations for India Lubricants.
