During the Senior Training Fellowship, she worked on Molecular diagnosis at the Institute of Medical biology and Human Genetics, University of Innsbruck, Austria. Her involvement in the laboratory work and management was highly commendable. Routine laboratory work was always her priority. She was always punctual and worked late hours when there is a breakdown of equipment or system. Her knowledge on mechanical and technical processes and laboratory equipment was so good that she could help with the troubleshooting of devices. Her dream was to expand the neonatal screening program, so that more children could be benefited.
She had been to England for a year where she learned the HPLC for drug analysis. Dr. Victoria completed PhD under the guide ship of Dr.A.S.Kanagasabapathy. r. Victoria Job served the institution for 36 years and retired on the 21st of June 2017. She joined CMC in 1981 after completing her post-graduation in Medical Biochemistry from CMC. She began her career when most of the diagnostic assays were done manually. She is one among the few who had the opportunity to witness the transition and rapid development of the diagnostic field. Her knowledge in the subject is vast and she has keen interest in the diagnostic field. Every new addition to the Department, equipment or assays kindled her interest further.
