CMC signs MOU with Kotagiri Medical Fellowship Trust

Miss. Monica Sutton (Lab Technician) and Miss. Vera Nowell (Pharmacist) converted a cowshed into a dispensary. Dr. Pauline Jeffrey from CMC, sent by Aunt Ida, joined forces to help the medical work. Dr. Lydia Herluffson of Danish mission had played a special role. Over the years, many, including CMC alumni have contributed to bringing about significant improvement in the health status of the region. In recent times the hospital has been struggling to keep up with the demand and thus requested CMC’s help.

Referring to Psalm 121, he thanked God for the provision of willing people and His watchful eyes, as CMC will explore ways of sustaining and developing the hospital to a self-sufficient one.

KMF Hospital is known for Eye work and general medical care. At present, Director Designate Dr. J V Peter said, Pediatrician Dr. Reny Joseph, “…the heart of Christian healthcare is mission, charity it’s soul and compassionate care it’s mind.” He expressed his eagerness to carry forward KMF trustees have done their best to the work that has been started. “What keep the good work going. n 30th August 2017, a MOU was signed between the CMC Vellore Association and the Kotagiri Medical Fellowship Trust. The 50-bedded hospital which started in 1937, had approached CMC for help in sustaining the healthcare services it provides in the Nilgiris.
