The workshop was attended by 38 healthcare professionals from various specialties, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dentistry, Physiotherapy and Public Health.
Prof. Prathap Tharyan, Prof. Thambu David, Dr. Mohan Kamat, Richard Kirubakaran and Jabez Paul Barnabas from Cochrane South Asia coordinated the week’s sessions with hands-on practical training. All sessions were tailored to provide an initiation to the concepts of evidence informed healthcare, the wide role of systematic reviews in healthcare provision, and the methodology involved in getting started on a Cochrane systematic review.
