I could not fail to mention here in this book what happened in Rio de Janeiro in the past administration, well, former mayor Marcelo Crivela had the support of the Universal Church in his candidacy and after losing the state government election, he won the mayor.

He and all his supporters allege that they were persecuted (including he was exonerated after his arrest), but there is evidence of the real pot that was his management and that was not enough, there were complaints that members of the church he attends were being privileged in the city mainly in the health area.

Here, something very controversial comes into question, is it correct for a mayor to prioritize members of his religion in his administration or does he have to govern for everyone?

There is a biblical passage that can help us understand this great doubt:

"Caesar's," they replied. Then he said to them, "So give back to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." Matthew 22:21

In this verse it says that the correct thing is that everyone pays taxes, but we can also interpret the situation to be the other way around, since everyone paid taxes in the city, and it would not be fair only for the members of the church that the mayor attends to enjoy the benefits, since the King David himself asked God to follow the path of justice:

he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. Psalms 23:3

We must follow the path of justice and if any Christian is elected, he has to help the brothers but he cannot forget to be fair, to return the money paid in taxes to those who paid, which in this case would be people of all religions. Another detail of the complaint was that the mayor would have hired people with public money to persecute reporters, this is something totally ridiculous, and many claim that Rede Globo manipulated news and therefore persecuted it, but I myself have witnessed manipulated news on Rede Globo. founder of the Universal Church Bishop Macedo, but there are also news in newspapers from other channels that are also suspicious, that is, each newspaper pushes the news to its side, so it is correct for everyone to read several different newspapers so that to be sure of the veracity of the news, not to believe only in a newspaper.
