Brass Threaded Inserts for 3D Printing?

Threaded inserts are useful because they add longlasting and powerful threads into 3D print.
You can insert holes directly to 3D printed parts, but they wear down very fast.
It is because thermoplastics are used in 3D printing, and they are soft.

To enhance durability, brass threaded inserts are used. How are threaded inserts in 3D prints? Here, in this blog, we are explaining the use of brass threaded inserts.

How do threaded inserts work?

Threaded inserts come with ribs and they have edges on the outside. They are typically called knurling. The knurling allows the inserts to hold the plastic and makes it difficult for them to be twisted or pulled out.
On the inside of the brass inserts there are durable threads.
Methods for installing threaded inserts in 3D prints
There are several methods that can be used to install threaded inserts in plastic. But all of them may not be relevant and useful.

For example, threads that are inserted ultrasonically are applicable in industrial equipment. Molded threaded inserts in plastic can’t be used in 3D printing.
