Zolmist Nasal Spray ( Zolmitriptan ) is used to treat nausea, headache, acute attack of migraine or the symptoms of migraine.

This contains Zolmitriptan which works by inhibiting serotonin (5-HT) receptors in the brain. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that migraine headaches result from dilatation of blood vessels in the head.
As soon as the Spray gets absorbed into the nasal cavity, it goes directly into the bloodstream. When it is absorbed, it constricts the blood vessels in your head. Also restricts pain signals from reaching your brain, and blocks chemicals that impair your ability to deal with migraines like nausea and sensitivity to light. Thus it relieves the migraine attack.
For acute migraine, give one dose of this spray. It is possible to repeat the dose after two hours. In case the headache occurs again. Placebo-controlled trials have suggested evidence that a second dose is not effective. Any dose that exceeds 10 mg per 24 hours should be strictly avoided. Zolmitriptan is effective in treating acute migraines in adults.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
In case of pregnancy or breastfeeding, a Zolmist Nasal Spray inhaler is not recommended unless prescribed. There may be an increased risk of heart attacks, strokes, and bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract. As the safety and effectiveness of this Nasal Spray have not been established, children or people under 18 years of age should not be given it. To avoid drowsiness and dizziness, you should not consume alcohol with this. There may be some side effects you experience after using it. A few of them are faintness, nausea, chest discomfort, dry mouth, taste changes, irregular heartbeats, heartburn, and peripheral neuropathy. Do not take Zolmist nasal spray for certain health issues. It has the potential to be allergic to the components of Zolmist Nasal spray if you had the following conditions;-
Recent heart surgery Stroke blood circulation
issues Heart problems
Narrowing of the arteries in the stomach, legs, arms, Liver impairment, Kidney impairment
High blood pressure
When you experience stomach pain or find blood in your stool, stop using it and consult your doctor. Because in these patients there is an increased risk of developing serotonin syndrome. Which includes hyperactivity, dilated pupils, shivering, sweating, etc.
