Vatsal Bhavesh Shah
Vatsal Shah is an architect and urban designer. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s degree in urban design at the University of Texas at Austin. His key interests are in spatial design explorations and collaborative experiments that enhance the urban built environment. He is interested in urban interventions that contribute towards the larger formation of the public realm and believes in community-driven approaches. He has professional experience working as an architect for S+PS Architects in India and Vo Trong Nghia Architects in Vietnam. Over the course of his career, he has been involved with a wide variety of residential, commercial, and hospitality projects which demanded working with projects at various scales. He was entrusted with project management responsibilities and the production of technical and presentation drawings during his tenure. He is a trained architect and received his Bachelor of Architecture from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies in Mumbai,India. He has worked as a teaching assistant and has been part of various research teams during his undergraduate tenure. His undergraduate thesis, ‘Reimaging the Sacred’ has won several accolades in the past. He also served as a co-panelist at the Kurula Varkey Design Forum 19th edition.
