Hello!

>Tools/Software

I am Vasilis, a designer with a background in automotive and product design, driven by a passion for creating functional and visually compelling products.

I have worked in the automotive sector, designing interiors and components, as well as in product design, developing premium razors, medical devices, and motorbike rally kits. Lately, I have also ventured into the UX/UI sector, designing software for medical devices with a focus on intuitive and efficient user interfaces.

My approach blends aesthetics with usability, ensuring that every design not only looks refined but also enhances the user experience. I thrive on tackling complex design challenges, always aiming to distill ideas into clear, purposeful forms that stand the test of time.

Worked on various, truck and van projects for the interior and the exterior as well.

IndustrialdesigneratBICViolex

Worked on razor handles. I was the lead designer of the the premium razor handle Bic Made for you.

AutomotivedesigneratFiatGroup

Worked mainly for Alfa Romeo brand, designing components and parts, such as cover motors, rims, gear knobs, air-vents, etc.

EngineCovers

As a junior designer at Fiat Group, one of my most significant achievements was designing the engine covers for the Alfa Romeo Giulia. I created three distinct covers—one for the V6 engine, one for the petrol engine, and one for the diesel engine—each reflecting Alfa Romeo’s signature design language and performancedriven aesthetics.

Winning the internal design contest for this project was a major milestone in my career. The final designs combined sculpted surfaces, premium materials, and functional elements, reinforcing the brand’s identity while meeting technical and production constraints.

Highlight project

The V6 engine cover was designed to highlight Alfa Romeo’s racing heritage and performance. Its sculpted lines and bold shape give a dynamic and aggressive look, while the Quadrifoglio emblem reinforces its motorsport DNA.

Made from lightweight composite materials, the cover features a matte black finish with red accents and the Alfa Romeo logo for a premium touch. Beyond aesthetics, it also helps with heat management and fits seamlessly within the engine bay.

Highlight project 2016-2018

In 2016, after joining Bic Violex in Athens, I took on the challenge of designing the brand’s first premium metallic razor. Bic sought to enter the high-end market, and my design proposal was selected from a range of concepts, eventually becoming the BIC For You razor.

I focused on balancing aesthetic elegance with functional ergonomics, ensuring the razor felt comfortable in hand while maintaining a luxurious and refined appearance. The metallic finish added both durability and a premium feel, while the minimalist design ensured that it remained sophisticated.

This razor features a premium handle designed not only for style and elegance but also for versatility. It allows users to easily change the five-blade head, offering a customizable and high-performance shaving experience. The design challenge was to remove all unnecessary elements and focus on creating a sleek, streamlined silhouette that would feel both modern and timeless.

The BIC For You razor represented an important step for the brand, appealing to consumers who sought both style and performance in their everyday grooming products, with the added flexibility of a replaceable head.

The team shifted its focus towards the IoT direction with the design of the BIC Made for You handle. This move represented a step into a new era for Bic, merging traditional design with smart technology to create a more personalized grooming experience.

Truckinterior

Highlight project

In 2018, I had the opportunity to be the lead designer for the interior of the T1 Aochi truck, designed for Wuzheng. The project was an exciting challenge, as we developed the design in Athens, with the manufacturing taking place in China.

Designing the entire interior of the truck was a rewarding experience that involved creating a

space that was both functional and comfortable for long-haul drivers. I had the chanc e to travel to China to work closely with the manufacturing team, where we developed the prototype and fine-tuned the design to ensure it met the highest standards of quality and usability

The 3D model of the interior was created in Athens and then 3D printed in China, allowing for precise prototyping and a

The central console was designed in a way that could easily host an 8-inch screen for the premium version of the truck, enhancing the driving experience and adding a modern, tech-driven element to the interior.

Industrial/UXUI designer at TUR(as Faretra Design)

CellitIHHT

(Intermittent Hypoxia–Hyperoxia Therapy)

In 2020, I designed the Cellit, an IHHT device for TUR. I took a holistic approach to the project, designing the exterior casing, the UX/UI for the software, and the logo. The aim was to create a sleek, user-friendly device with a modern aesthetic and intuitive interface.

The logo and software design followed the same design language as the casing, using parallel, strong lines that communicate premiumness and reflect German engineering.

Designing the software architecture and UI was a first for me, and although it was a new challenge, we received great feedback from the market. Users found the software easy to operate, with a fast and seamless user experience, which reinforced the success of the device.

The Cellit device features a monolithic design language, with a dominant white cube as the core structure. The casing is divided by an inclined black stripe-zone, splitting the volume into two distinct sections. This design choice creates a bold, modern aesthetic with clean lines.

The black stripe serves as the functional zone where all the device's key components, including the screen, buttons, vents, and other controls, are integrated. This placement ensures that the design remains minimalistic and cohesive while maintaining functionality.

The overall form of the device is defined by straight lines and sharp angles, giving it a refined and structured appearance. The contrast between the white and black surfaces highlights the design's simplicity and modernity, while the precise engineering reflects German quality.

Motorbike/industrial designer at AuroraRallyEquipment

Husqvarna NORDEN901

At Aurora Rally Equipment, one of the standout projects I worked on was the rally version of the Husqvarna Norden 901, featuring a full carbon body. The goal was to enhance the bike’s performance and aesthetic, transforming it into a more aggressive and sporty version of the original Norden.

While we pushed for a more dynamic design, we made sure to retain key design elements from the original Norden, such as the round headlamp, which maintains the bike’s identity. The rest of the design was reworked to emphasize strength and agility, with clean, sharp lines and a more muscular stance, reflecting the rugged nature of a rally bike.
