Punya Pragati – The official quarterly reporter of Punya -Second Quarter 2011
From the Volunteer’s Desk Hi Friends and well wishers of Punya, A little dedicated time spent really useful for others without any personal gain, a pure heartwarming feeling for the needy in whatever way I can. Yes, this is something that I was longing to do for years. Of course, time did not permit. But when will I do if I don't do it now. Got to know about Punya more than a year back from my office colleague Karthick. Read through website and felt inspirational to contribute through Punya. Last quarter, Punya executed couple of projects in Bangalore and Mumbai. In Mumbai Punya provided educational assistance to yet another deserving candidate for his college studies.

Kudos Corner – Volunteer of the Quarter
Taking care of others or serving as a caregiver can be particularly challenging, sometimes lonely, and even exhausting. Our dear young friend Karthick does this all the way with a never ending smile on his face and a keen seriousness and meaningfulness in whatever he does. It was Karthick who intiated the Blind School project and went to analyze every bit of detail in this. His systematic step by step approach and involvement was clearly seen in the note books distribution project to the students at a Village Panchayat school, past Chengleput. The children will be really thankful for all those study aids granted at an appropriate time. He always seeks to creative ways to help others and stays socially involved. He has a constant desire to find out ways of the different services that can be offered to the needy. He is a wonderful singer and hope sometime or other our Punya team will get an opportunity to lend a ear to that enticing voice of his.
