Employee of the Month: Compassion
Lorena De La Torre Chavez
Dental Assistant, Reno
I’ve been working with Lorena for almost a year, and she has brought so much to the Reno team. She demonstrates warmth, patience, and kindness to every patient in her chair. Lorena is extremely attentive, creating a comfortable, inviting experience for patients of all ages—whether they’re children, teens or adults. Her communication and patient education are greatly appreciated. Above all, she does everything with such compassion, and the patients truly benefit from having her as their assistant. Every time I hear her speaking with our patients, I am reminded of how grateful I am to have her on our team, providing exceptional care. Thank you, Lorena!

All Variety Care clinics competed to see who could improve the most in patient satisfaction, with scores measured month-to-month. Patients rated clinics on location, hours of operation, wait times, time spent with providers, and front desk service.
Every two weeks, staff received updated competition scores, tracking which clinics were leading. Additionally, teams could nominate Players of the Week for outstanding contributions.
