Marc has three decades of expertise in live audio, video, and lighting production. He spent 17 years as staff technical director of Overlake Church in Redmond, WA. Marc loves the church and has a deep passion for its mission.
Isaiah brings a fresh perspective to the Vantage Pro team. Since 2006, he has played a key role in delivering successful technology implementations across a wide range of venues, including large, multi-site churches. He is devoted to designing solutions that effectively serve the Church.
Drew’s background spans structured operational environments and hands-on production settings, giving him a grounded perspective on how implementation really happens. His experience spans both highly structured and fast-moving settings, and he is skilled in translating complexity into clarity in design intent, field realities, and coordination across vendors and teams.

Projects can operate like a game of telephone, with similar risks of misunderstanding or mistakes. Most importantly, the project vision can degrade as your project progresses through multiple sets of hands.
In the AVL world, an example path could start with a consultant, out to bid for complete system design, and finally out to bid for installation. Rather, working with an experienced, trustworthy Design-Build partner means you have one team to manage the entire project from consultative design through implementation, all the way to opening weekend.

The Case Against Bid Process for AVL
Whenever possible, you should select a trustworthy AVL Design-Build Integrator rather than piece together a project with a bid process. We believe that the un-strategic path starts with an honest mistake or two – you mostly know what you want to do, and you simply need to know what it’s going to cost upfront, and end up skipping either consulting or design, or both, and start reaching out for bids that include installation with all-in numbers.
This muddies things, as a couple of problems are introduced. First, the bids you receive are not based on a fully vetted plan or a completed design, so it is solely your responsibility to
know whether it is a viable solution, from structural and electrical requirements down to the connectors and labels. Second, each of the bids exists in strategic isolation and can hardly be compared to another. Third, the bid in your hand precedes a design deliverable, with a possibility that the provider will not, or cannot, complete the design itself.
The most successful solutions begin with experienced consultation, move through wellexecuted design, and then expert installation. We do it all. Our Design-Build process keeps the project on track from start to finish, with a team of experts who have seen it before, get it, and care to get it right, down to every detail.

Foresight Design is our cadenced, refined approach to AVL systems design. We start with vision, with the right people in the room, and we walk with your team step-by-step through concepting, budgeting, design, then seamlessly into the build phase, where your vision comes to life.

SESSION
VISION DEVELOPMENT
Starting with a deep dive into your mission, vision, and ministry goals, we collaboratively build a technology plan that empowers that vision. This session is all about painting a clear target for a successful project and partnership.
TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT SESSION 2
Working with your technical leaders, we will collaboratively develop the technology solutions that were outlined in the Vision session. Together, we’ll dive into the details of specific gear, functionality, approaches, workflows, and more.
SESSION 3
CONCEPT DESIGN & BUDGET
The team reconvenes to review initial design concepts and budget, then discuss next steps. We ensure you get full clarity so you can move forward with confidence. For projects with Master Planning and multiple phases, this session becomes the launch point for that strategy.
FORESIGHT DESIGN KICKOFF
// with Concept Design
Following the Foresight Kickoff, we will deliver an Executive Summary with session notes, findings, concept design models and renderings, recommendations, as well as initial build budget and resulting design fee.
SCHEMATIC DESIGN
Here, we will establish essential elements and requirements of the systems during Schematic Design (layouts, structural, power, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and more).
CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
The final documentation phase pulls together all the various systems into one coordinated set of plans. It provides the necessary details and specifications required for permits and final buildready pricing.
FORESIGHT DESIGN PHASE
RAPID REFINEMENT
At this stage, the plan is simply pixels on a screen. During this short time, your team will absorb the outcomes of the Foresight Kickoff and process through your next steps. We will touch base and collaborate on any necessary adjustments to the scope or plan before the clock winds on formal design.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
// with Design-Build Coordination
Vantage Pro will dial in all design details alongside ongoing engineering analysis. Also, this stage of design includes significant coordination to ensure that architectural, structural, and electrical are in sync. A full design package is completed at this stage.
BUILD CONTRACT
// with Guaranteed Max Price
After the construction documents are complete, the project pricing is finalized, and a Build Contract is prepared. The Build Contract locks your investment at a fixed amount, barring scope changes or unusual delays.
TEAM TRAINING
In the moments following installation, we will schedule training with your teams, walking through the ins and outs of your new systems. We set your staff and key volunteers up for longterm success, then wrap up training by joining your team during Opening Weekend.
AVL BUILD PHASE
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Your Project Director will manage every detail – scheduling, ordering, coordinating resources, and communicating with trades, with regular touchpoints with your team. After ensuring site readiness for conduit, structural, and electrical work, our team deploys to install and commission your new systems.
OPENING WEEKEND
Your Vantage Pro team lead will join you as you celebrate the First Use of your new systems. This also kicks off your System Warranty period and our Support relationship.
