Exceptional Stewardship Guarantee
Your project has a budget, but that doesn’t mean your vision can’t be extraordinary. Through our Foresight Design Process we’ll work to understand your unique story and bring it to life in a way you may have never thought was possible - all while being trusted stewards of your resources.
It’s All About the People

Why Design + Build?
Projects don’t typically fail from a lack of vision or passion. More often than not, poor execution and a lack of communication between client, designer and installer add complexity, cost, time and money. The best-executed and most cost-effective projects are managed through a single Design + Build partner. This blend of disciplines creates numerous benefits.
Building Without Design Wastes Resources
It’s tempting to try to save money by skipping a design process. This often leads to an ineffective result, requiring you to re-do your project again later. The most successful systems begin with well-thought out, vision-centric designs. Our process ensures that this is done right the first time, saving you time and money. You will maximize your effectiveness right from the start.
Long-term Vision Guarantees Successful Phasing
Healthy organizations develop their plans and strategies based upon a focused vision. Determining the best phasing for implementation is based on available budget. As a trusted partner, we come alongside you to ensure that vision determines the outcome rather than a singular focus on short-term budget constraints. This avoids wasteful spending by keeping the focus on the right result.
Avoid the “Lost in Translation” Penalty
Projects are often similar to the game of telephone. With so many stakeholders, everyone hears the message in a different way. Your vision, and the likelihood that you can achieve it, are often lost as a project makes its way through multiple groups of people. Our Design+Build process provides you with a single Project Lead that manages the entire project from design through implementation all the way to opening weekend. This holds your vision and expectations as the primary target for measuring success.

RADIANT CHURCH
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA
“We chose Vantage because they were the first company to listen to what we wanted and actually hear us. They knew how to guide us toward technology that would be beneficial to the long-term success of our project and the fulfillment of what we wanted for our church members. They were a great partner throughout the process and now feel like a natural extension of our team.”
David Kruse, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Orange, CA
“Vantage Pro and their teams were great to work with. They adapted to the challenges and needs of this project and our vision, working hard to achieve a dramatic result. We’ve seen powerful engagement, interaction, and stories of life-change, both in interpersonal communication as well as interaction with the installed media and technology. That’s really the ultimate compliment of any system and project. It is often described as Apple Store meets Starbucks meets the Bible”
Matt Steinruck, American Bible Society, New York, NY
“They were so easy to work with. Working closely with the architect, they were able to articulate a broader vision that we were excited about. They included every one of us in the process. The coordination between AV contractor and construction team kept the project on time and costs lower. The result was better than we could have anticipated.”
Nate Schofield, Bridges Community Church, Los Altos, CA
“They have been awesome to work with and, most importantly, they care about who we are as a church. They never tried to rush through the process or to give us a “cookiecutter” solution. We are so thankful for all of the ideas, development, and implementation of the AVL solution for our auditorium. It turned out exactly as we had hoped, planned, and budgeted for - we couldn’t be happier. We look forward to the next phase.”

FORESIGHT DESIGN
fore•sight /fôr.sīt/ The ability to predict what will happen or be needed in the future
Foresight Design Process - A More Predictable Future
Our process was born from leaders sharing their struggles with past building projects. Many of their stories end with “Well, hindsight is 20/20”. These are not the responses you are looking for nor is it good enough for our team. Vantage Pro’s Design+Build process provides a deliberate and focused road-map for the ultimate success of your project. We’ll walk with you every step of the way, helping you avoid common hazards while celebrating critical milestones. You get it done right the first time - every time. Your response will become “Wow, we love it!.”
Foresight Design Kickoff - From Dream to Plan in 3 days
Your journey with us kicks off with a carefully curated, collaborative and concise process that starts with a blank canvas. Your true vision is captured and we finish with full concept designs, renderings and budget. Rather than weeks of wondering, in just 3 days you’ll have a clear understanding of how technology can best equip your ministry. You will also receive a breakdown of the cost to implement your ultimate master plan for the technology. It is critical that we start our relationship fully in sync with your vision and goals. We finish the sessions with a review of our design and modeling to make certain we are on target.
Your Kickoff Team - The Who Matters
It is important to hear from everyone that will have a stake in the successful outcome of the project. The kickoff will cover both high-level ministry vision in addition to detailed, technical needs. Your kickoff team may include 5 - 10 people. By having the right people provide input during this phase, you avoid costly re-designs or changes to construction that often plague a project when their ideas come in later.
Understanding the Foresight Structure
When it comes to the success of your project, two of our core values come directly into play. Our goal is to be a trusted partner for you in this process - while striving to be good stewards of your budget. We will move beyond the ordinary and the expected to develop a solution that scales with your vision.
Due to the highly interactive nature of audio, video and lighting systems, there are a number of key people in your organization that should speak into the details. The designed systems must reflect who you are and be additive to the delivery of your message.
Who should be a part of the Foresight Kickoff?
• Lead Pastor
• Executive Pastor
• Operations DIrector
• Architect/Designer
• Worship / Creative Pastor
• Youth / Children’s Pastor
• Technical Staff / Volunteers
• Media / Communication DIrector
• Building Project Manager
• Board Members
So, what is the Kickoff schedule?
We have designed the three days to maximize each person’s time. This ensures that the right people are available to speak into the targeted goals for each session.
Defining the Vision - Day 1 (9:00am - Noon)
The entire Kickoff team gathers as we get to know you. This is a deep dive into the mission, vision and ministry goals of your community. It is important that we learn about how technology can best serve you. This session is about painting a clear target for success. It will set the foundation for everything that we do.
Technical Development - Day 1 (1:30 - 4:30pm)
This session is for the resident technical nerds. Anyone involved in worship, creative, and technical arts should particpate. The afternoon is spent on a deep dive into the ins and outs (literally) of your systems and felt needs for improvement. The intent is to develop the technology solutions that will accomplish all of the goals from the Vision session.
Concept Design & Budget Development
Upon completion of Day 1, the Vantage Pro team will adjourn to review all of our findings, begin concept designs, and formulate a budget. We work throughout the evening of Day 1 and all of Day 2 to assess, refine, develop and prove our design. We develop renderings and visuals that will be presented when the Kickoff team returns on Day 3.
As part of the Kickoff team, you are only asked to use this time to focus on your ministry and pray for our team as we seek to hear God’s will for your community.
The Big Reveal - Day 3 (10:00am - Noon)
The entire Kickoff team comes back together for a presentation of the concept design and budget that has been developed for your solution. We provide proof-of-concept models to confirm our design choices. This gives you a look into your future and what will be necessary to fund the project. This is a highly collaborative session where we invite you to ask questions to get the clarity you need to make the best decisions for your ministry.
Design Fees Explained
Vantage Pro is not a one-size-fits-all provider, so our Foresight Design process does not have a one-size-fits-all fee. Since our process is highly personalized to your unique needs and DNA, our fees are determined by the outcome of the Foresight Design Kickoff. Upon completion of the kickoff and the determination of the agreed-upon conceptual budget, the total design fee will be as follows:
Total Conceptual Budget Fee %
$75,000 - $300,000 7%
$301,000 - $1,000,000 5%
$1,001,000 + 4%
Our fees are all inclusive of our on-site Kickoff, all design deliverables, remote coordination meetings, and related expenses.
Design Fee Schedule
Payment 1 - $5,000 retainer due with signed Design agreement.
Payment 2 - 50% of total fee minus the retainer due upon submission of Design Development drawings and AVL 1-line documentation.
Payment 3 - Balance of total fee due upon submission of Constuction Drawings
Stages of the design and build process
Foresight Design Post-Kickoff
Upon completion of the Foresight Kickoff, your team will receive an Executive Summary. Included, you will find all session notes & related findings, copies of concept design models & renderings, preliminary AVL locations & layouts, and a full conceptual budget. This budget will fulfill the concept design +/- 10%.
Once you have had a chance to review the Executive Summary, your team is ready to proceed into the detailed phase of design. We’ll meet with you during the early weeks of this phase to address any needs and adjustments while they are fresh in your mind. At this point, we are only re-drawing pixels on a screen and not holding up construction.
During this phase of the project, the personalization of your project will take shape. You will own the vision. Your input will be sought after as we shape the concept into a more executable solution.
Schematic Design Phase
Building on the foundation of all the work completed in the Foresight Kickoff and alignment phases, Vantage hits the ground
running with your desired Phase 1 schematic design. We establish essential elements of the systems during Schematic Design (floor plans, major structural needs, reflected ceiling plans, and elevations) through interactive design reviews and frequent check-ins during each step in the process.
Design Development Phase
Once Schematic Design is complete, Vantage Pro’s integrated design team will begin to dial in the design details alongside ongoing engineering analysis. Coordination of all audio, video, lighting, and acoustic needs are handled with the project’s structural and electrical teams. The project begins to take shape as a full design package is completed at this stage.
Construction Documents Phase
The final documentation phase pulls together all the various systems into one coordinated set of plans. It provides the necessary details and specifications required for permits and final build pricing.
Guaranteed Maximum Price
After the construction documents are complete, the project pricing is finalized and a Build Contract is produced. We provide a
“Guaranteed Maximum Price” (GMP) to build the project. The GMP protects the client and promises that the project will not exceed the set amount unless there is a change in scope or an excessive delay in project timing.
Project Execution
New construction projects can last anywhere between 12 - 24 months. A remodel often has a shorter time horizon. Throughout the execution phase, your Vantage Pro project team will be continually communicating. Our installers will be on site a number of times throughout the life of your project. We start with structural and rigging trips, conduit inspections, cable pulls, infrastrucure installation, equipment installation, and commissioning. Most of the activity will occur during the finishing phase of your project, often the last couple of months leading up to your opening weekend.
Opening Weekend
The project is complete and ready to carry out the vision of the owner.
Redland
Hills Church
Redland Hills Church is a nondenominational church with a heartbeat to connect people with God by proclaiming the goood news of Jesus. As they gather together as a church family, they seek to encourage one another in their journey and share it with the community and the world.
The church was seeking to provide their congregation with a much better, more engaging worship experience. They sought to eliminate distractions caused by poor audio coverage, an aging video system, and a lack of proper lighting to create environment and emotion.
• A new point source speaker system from Martin Audio provided consistent coverage and greatly improved the intelligibility and musicality of the system.
• Efficiency improved dramatically through the conversion of the theatrical lighting to LED. Color changing fixtures on the stage improved everyone’s experience of worship.
• We replaced the houselights with LED fixtures that can be controlled via the digital lighting desk at a remodeled control booth.
• We reconfigured the video system with a double-wide screen on stage and improvement of the confidence screen at the back of the room. Digital-Projection helped provide high-brightness and contrast for delivery of all content. New processing reduced latency of the signal delivery.
St. John’s Lutheran Church & School
This wonderful body of believers located in the heart of Orange County, California committed to a complete renewal of their sanctuary after more than 100 years. They engaged Vantage to create a fullymodernized audio, video and lighting solution while maintaining the architectural integrity of this historical landmark. We were integrated into the project early in the design process and were able to ensure project success through better coordination with architects and other trades. Vantage was able to help the church finish on time and under budget.
• A Bose speaker array was ideal for the room. Vantage was able to ensure full coverage of the room without the need for any acoustical enhancement.
• Upgrade to a 48-channel Yamaha digital console with extensive stage pocket layout for infinite flexibility.
• Full broadcast control was matched to several high-definition Sony PTZ cameras allowing St John’s to share a consistent service experience online and throughout the campus.
• We worked closely with Barco and the project millwork contractor to integrate a 3.9 mil LED wall to overcome the ambient light from the stained glass windows and to lower maintenance expense.
• Video support for the choir included an 85” 4K confidence monitor. LED monitors were also added under-balcony, in the pastor’s study, cry room ,and foyer.
American Bible Society
It is a great responsibility to create an environment for people to experience the incredible story of the Bible. Vantage Pro was asked to convert a space right in the heart of New York City to allow friendly and easy access to interactive content. We were involved from the beginning with interior design consulting, technology integration and content creation to bring the Word of God to life for everyone who entered the American Bible Society space.
ABS’ goal with the Atrium, which is found just inside the large glass pavilion on its Broadway façade, was to transform it into an innovative and inviting “third space” that would draw New Yorkers in to relax, socialize, have a snack, connect via free WiFi and ultimately be exposed to both Scripture and the free Museum of Biblical Art (MOBIA) upstairs.
• Fine-pitch LED wall and interior LED monitor wall integrated for presentation of branding messaging and custom Biblecentered content.
• Distributed audio with zone control to enhance the mood and experience of the content.
• Touch Screen “tables” with custom created user interface to provide access to Biblical content and ABS history
• Integration of iPads through the space with comfortable environments allow visitors to experience the Bible app at their own pace.
